Not yet due to back pain preventing me hoping on the motorbike ... They are in there... Skulking around at the back... I thought the sand substrate might be more to their liking but look as miserable as ever... They never do anything.. 🤔

In an ideal world plant selection would be very different... My money sadly ran out after 3 pots of hair grass... Over time I'll replace some with better ones and add more... Most of these plants are 15 bht each... Things like anubias 180 bht for a tiny piece, good plants more than most fish...

So in the end it ain't much of a build journal... I really didn't want them sitting in the tote so chucked it together a bit hurriedly... I'm pleased enough for a first crack considering money was tight and I mainly recycled what I had.. Here's a few pics....

https://www.fishforums.net/threads/inherited-tank-need-help-to-id-occupants.489223/#post-4281120 I posted this but not sure if conclusive. Maybe one wrestling half beak.. The bottom dwellers still not confirmed..

Me wee 10 Gallon... First proper attempt

The entire contents of the tank I'm about to re-scape are in the tote. It was in a dreadful mess... 2 mollies, 3 endlers, a couple of bottom dwellers I'm yet to identify and another that hangs out at the surface.... Again not sure what it is... I'm going to ask my LFS if they will take those...

Stocking really the last of my concerns at the moment though... I'm stuck on everything from substrate to hard scape to plant selection. I do know I wanna plant heavy yet try keep it low maintenance... 🤔

Me wee 10 Gallon... First proper attempt

This is a tank I inherited with probably pretty damned bad stocking. It was a mess. Fish now temporarily housed in a plastic tote certified safe by my LSF, though I dunno if their assurance worth much in this part of the world. 🤣 The tank scrubbed up, a blank canvas... But at the moment I'm...

Peat moss as a base layer.. 🤔

Good idea, i'm I the far East.. Sometimes can be tricky tracking down the simplest things... I was hoping to find black sand but no joy as yet.. I did find some small black gravel .... Maybe that'll have to do.

Peat moss as a base layer.. 🤔

Excellent reply.. Very useful. It's given me lots to ponder. I'm really gonna try taking my time with this and hopefully get a half decent scape done. The primary idea is it should look good yet be as low maintenance as possible... Main tank occupants will be shrimp. I know the tank tiny...

Peat moss as a base layer.. 🤔

Hi Folks, I will soon carry out a scape on a little 40 litre tank.. I want to plant it heavy.. Finance is very tight... Someone told me you could use peat moss from a plant centre as a base layer, mentioning plants loved it and it was very nutrient dense.. Just wondered if anyone has...

Pygmy corydoras and betta in 10 gallon

Nice pic.! Would love some of them.. Alas tank to crowded and got the wrong substrate.

    Small tank recommendations please 😊

I would separate the endlers ASAP.. It's become a major issue for me very quickly... I inherited a 40 litre, previous owner had a female in there by mistake... Now theirs 10 + fry as well... The tanks already at near capacity... 🥴🤔

Yeah. The black backing I have now was peel and stick adhesive, multiple attempts, scraping the air with credit cards etc made no difference... Couldn't get all bubbles out.. It's only up close you notice though. But annoying none the less...
