it's either the oxygen level is low or they are hungry... ;) my platies sometimes does that when it's near their feeding time..

try to search your LFS for some meds for killing internal parasites, they may have something... but please research about the meds 1st before you try it on your fish (you know how some LFS are) i'm really sorry about your babies... :-( :(

better prepare a breeding pen, sometimes babies get eaten by larger tankmates, just make sure that the pen is close to the oxygen supply, you can 1st feed them flakes and advance as they get bigger :D goodluck!
