  Thats the thing though TLM the fish that died had been gasping! i noticed another endler gasping this morning!    None of the other fish are doing this they all look very content, it just seems to be endlers!   how could i improve oxygenation if this is the problem! if it was the problem...

In answer to the acclimatise question, the same as always.   float the bag for 15, then open it, introduce a small amount of tank water every 5-10 mins then release after an hour

    For the ammonia im using the API solution and test tube this is giving a reading of 0ppm   For the rest im using the API 5 in 1 test strip.   GH - 0 KH - between 0-40 closer to the 0 shade PH - Between 6.5 and 7 Nitrite - between 0-0.5 Nitrate - 0   Is anything here that bad?

Hi Had my copper rasboras for nearly 2 weeks now and as soon as they see me or anyone the shoot off and hide! Is this normal or will they eventually settle in?

Right, sampled from lower down and it has come down significantly since yesterday! Will keep on with all the advice until it remains stable! Could have just been a spike from new fish

Hi, Tested my ammonia past couple of days and its been getting worse! It's now in between 0.5 and 1 I've just done a large water change and that has helped! I've also changed the carbon filter as that's been in since I setup a month ago! I read somewhere that helps! What can I do next? Daily...

Never thought of st phoning the water then putting it back in!! Top tip, nice one! Fish caught I. Under 10 minutes only had to take out 1 small plant! Used my hand to get them into the open then a net!! Beginners luck maybe?!!!

I have 5 Serpaes that i need to get out of my tank. These went in through bad advice.   i have a fluval edge 46L so access is not the best.    I need an easy(ish) way of removing them without disrupting all the plants etc and causing a stir.   Any tips?   Cheers   Anthony

    Ye LFS told me! Thing is i would have spent money there on the cardinal so why bother talking BS! I originally went in there for the cardinal but came out with the serpae's ......NOT HAPPY   tank is a 46L been running for a month now and tank levels have been ok so far had an ammonia spike...

which tetras would work with guppies?   i was told these serpaes would be ok with guppies when i bought them, i would have gone for the cardinals if id have known serpaes were the worst nippers!!

Hi Just wondering if there is any easy way of upgrading the fluval edge lighting other than becoming the next inspector gadget!! Can the small LED's be upgraded? I have plants which are ok at the moment but more lighting is definitely needed. Cheers Anthony

Ok point taken, makes sense!   i dont actually have the fish in my tank yet so just looking for the right balance at the moment.   I definitely want the siamese fighter and 6 copper rasboras also got to have some kind of sucker fish (to keep the other half happy) so she chose the Otto's.  ...
