    My first Oscar - Joe

flake food is okay at 1" I used to have 4 full size (8 to 10 inch easy) i fed them seafood table scraps ( i know some of you disagree with this) and frozen smelt filets. they were 3 to 4 inch long, almost an inch diameter and the Oscars gobled them whole frozen. Thats the kind of fish that...

    Are Pristellas vicious?

Are Pristellas vicious? Mine seem really aggressive when feeding. I wonder if they are the reason my ID sharks hide all the time.

    Iridescent shark problem.

ID sharks are cool looking fish. I've got 3 in a 55 gal. sad to say they spend most fo the daylight on the bottom ( good work if you can get it) A ten gal is way too small, go for a 55 asap.

    sharks

I've seen pictures of the several feet long in the wild but close to a foot in a fish tank is rare. Mine are lazy and sleep all day (night creatures) they like to play dead when they are scared, cool to watch swimming, don't seem to bother much smaller fish - neons, small guppies

    Suggestions and answers please

QUOTE (Tempestuousfury @ Dec 27 2004, 01:24 PM) No. Iridescent sharks get to over 5' and need to be kept in groups. Barbs will most likely nip the angels' fins, even if in groups. Cichlids would work, though they might need dither fish, which you might not have enough room for. Iridescent...

    Almost made a big mistake!

I can't believe the way you folks bash walmart ( I just buy batteries, underwear, socks - you know junk). Kmart is a hundred times worse. they have better selection than finding stuff on the side of the road, but worse service and prices.

    Almost made a big mistake!

I like Iridescent Sharks too. I've got two, 2 to 3 inches long. I don't expect them to get out of control. I have a new 55 gal tankwith them and guppies. I am worried about them eating the baby guppies though. anyone have experience whit these sharks?

I got an irredecent shark about a week ago, 3" so far. He is cute to watch but too stupid to find food on the surface. New 55gal tank, 12 guppies to start cycle 3 weeks ago, now 10 guppies, 20 babies and shark.
