Your right it won't but it should increase the flow around the tank which is what I'm trying to do

my guess would say its that it could only be the fuse, ballast or bulbs.

It would be only a guess from me but you would be very unlucky for both bulbs to blow at once due to age do the unit have a ballast?

i think that's fairly normal i have 6 of these and when the lights are out they do appear to lose there black strip soon returns once the lights are on for a while.

So then SO19 im going to try EI i think it covers everything im also to add Liquid CO2 and i will dose as recommend and do the 50% water change weekly and see how i get on. Thanks for the help.

Hi Thanks for the reply is says to do 20% - 50% water changers for the EI i normally do 30% anyway but would you say i should up that to 50%? Also with the Neutro+ that is just Mirco's is that correct so i wouldnt get the macro's as i would with EI? Have you used ether system?

Thanks for the link £8.25 for 5 plants is a little steep but i dont mind if they are good quality. how are your's holding up after a month? do u have these in a high tec set up im only low tec so im hoping they will work out in my tank?
