Jamnog, Ya i would do 55 gal for one oscar! We have two of them at our zoo that are 15 inches long! so 2 fish 15 inches !! I would not put one of them in less then a 55 gal! ;)

I would start out with a 55 or a 75 gal! , If you go any smaller you will just be mad at yourself! :P I know is was when i bought my first tank 20 gal, then another tank 4 weeks later a 75 lol, For cichilds Go with some Labidochromis sp. "Red Top Kimpuma - Super Red" there my fav, easy too ...
