Melafix does treat ICH it says quite clearly on the box. :)

Mollies are not delicate compaired to other fish, they come from brackish water but will still thrive in normal tropical water. They make excellent community fish. This problem with yours could be anything. Get some melafix treat the tank and keep your fingers crossed!

Is this stuff slimey? check your filter to see if its clogged up (as mine was)

May I suggest you get a filter first, that's so important I cant believe you don't have one . You can get a small box filter for a few pennies. Get some filter medium for the box filter (no carbon ) and a very small air pump to operate it. all this equipment will cost no more than 15 uk pounds...

I had that too when I first got my tank and added some plants . It's just a fungus growth . I just cleaned it off, let the filter suck up the debris , then cleaned the filter using old tank water. its pretty harmless and my fish ate it too!

Yikes indeed ! Better off using ph down. I'll leave it at 8.5 my mollys are happy. Just got some guppies today and another molly(feamale) to keep the other 2 males happy, although one of my male mollys will not leave the feamale alone!!!!!

Well 4 weeks later my tank has cycled. Just for info here is a brief history of my tank. week 2 ammonia spiked at 5 ppm week 3 ammonia 0 nitrite spiked at 5ppm stayed at this for 8 days then dropped to zero in 2 days. nitrate was 30 ppm now its 10 ppm. Fish all fine and healthy
