I was just wondering if you really needed to use an air pump on an aquarium. I currently have a 46gal bowfront with a HOB biowheel filter. From what ive heard, that should aireate the water enough without the need for an air pump. Is this true, or should I keep my air pump running also?

well I just tested the water and here are the results for the tests that I have pH 6.6 Nitrite 0 Amonia 0 I don't have a nitrate test kit right now sorry. Hope this helps.
