I used car vinyl bought from Ebay worked perfectly. I'm sure they had plenty of colours and you can request the size.

Any experienced advice would be great. What should I do next? Leave it and add more flakes when ammonia drops a bit more? Do a water change to dilute the nitrites?

Is my nitrite too high? I find it hard reading the colour chart as to me this purple doesn't really resemble any on the chart perfectly.

I think some are easier than others. It was just the addition of something else to keep alive that made me go for fake ones to begin with.

Long finned zebras are one of the best imo. They have the look of a fancier tropical fish without being too big.

Spoiled for choice.. some great looking danios out there. Hardy fish too which is definitely a bonus and not overly fussy, I'm lead to believe. I think in the end it will come down to colour. I really like a splash of orange in a small fish with nice markings.

Nice one bud.. sounds like you know what you're doing. Just be patient, keep testing your water and good luck. Some other, more experienced people will hopefully add to this.
