The piece was small, and I split it in two. It's just a space filler to add texture and a natural element for the snails and fish. 4" by 3" Nothing spectacular. I'm not concerned.

What type of wood is it? I bought a piece of bogwood and boiled it for about 1hr in total refreshing the water every 20mins or so. I didn't want black water. Personally I like rummy nose tetras as a schooling fish. Nice contrast of colours. Hardy little guys. Very active and peaceful. Great community fish.

I'd advise this stuff, works great and pretty cheap.

That's looking great so far. Will look even better as time goes on. The only thing I'd have done before filling it is put a black background on it. Make the plants stand out and add depth. Obviously not to everyone's taste though. Looks a lot bigger than 60ltr in the pic. Good scale of decor.

Best advice is don't let MTS get a hold of you. I can see that it's too late lol. I've stuck to one 87ltr tank and enjoy it immensely. I can totally see why people have multiples. I've had to stop myself a few times.

I'm regreting buying pygmy cory. They are lovely little fish and swam happily together at first, even liked shoaling with the rummy nose. This lasted for about 3 weeks. Now I never see them. I know they're alive, I see them during maintenance but apart from that they hide under my sponge filter...

Mine must still be really young. He was very small when I got him with only a stripe through his eye and spot behind the gills. Hope he gets more blue as his yellow is now coming through.

Nice, roughly how old are they. I have what I think is a male. Curious to know what his colours will end up like.

I know there are treatments out there but can be harmful. I'm just trying to prevent it getting out of hand rather than curing it. Not over feeding or having lights on for too long. Someone with more experience will hopefully answer this for you.

Would you say just turning the heat up is a better method?
