    Water level question

i measured it all the way down, no bowing at all, and when I resealed the tank last year I used ASI tank sealant which has a high pressure load for up to 750 gallon tanks. Also let it cure for three weeks and sit with water in for two weeks before putting fish in. Still, I will have to empty it...

    Water level question

I so appreciate the advice. It's actually the floor which is sloped, not the stand. And only a quarter inch if that. I have it in my basement bedroom. It had no center brace. Made that way. I think next time I have off for a week from work... I'll strip it down and get a car jack to lift it...

    Severely injured Goldfish

Letting everyone know, two years later, my injured fish sis still going strong. His tail never grew back but he's back outside now in the outdoor hobby pond. All his wounds healed, except he's tailless.

I need to top the water off and normally you can't see the water line when it's at the right level.

    Water level question

The bricks are two high on each corner of the tank and two sets in the center of the tank. So basically two sets of masonry block every 18 inches under the tank. A total of 16 blocks. And this tank weighs 250 pounds without water. No way on Gods Green Earth gonna shimmy anything under it without...

    Water level question

So I have a I believe a 125 gallon aquarium. Dimensions are 6ft x 18 x 24. 1/2 inch glass. I got it free. I stripped it, resealed it and have had it now for over a year, no issues. The tank is on a 1/4 inch foam mat on, 7 foot 2 inch thick, 12 inch wide boards, with cinder blocks as the base. I...

    Newly built 150 Gallon Tank

So I started this tank 6 months ago. I started it from a disgusting mess. Attaching photos of the before and after. I had to strip all the silicone and reseal it. Getting it from the garage to the house was another chore all together. Hard project, something I never did before. I did resilcone...

🐠 TOTM VOTE NOW - August 2023 Tank of the Month Contest (31 Gal & Larger)

This was a project I started almost 6 months ago. This 150 gallon tank was sitting in vacant closed private zoo. It was given to me by the new owners of the property. It was disgusting, covered in years of dirt and grime. They housed reptiles in it at the zoo. I cleaned it, scarped it, resealed...

    Free 120 gallon Tank Rebuild

This was hard work and I didn't think I was going to be able to salvage it. This tank was sitting in a storage barn at a closed Private Zoo. They had had snakes in it for a short time. The building leaked so the inside and top got wet. I had to toss the cover, it has wood rot. I filled it with...

    Rooting roses in fishtank.

I have several different plants growing in my tanks and I know Pothos you need to root separately first because the stems of a fresh-cut plant can leak toxins. I have rose cuttings I was trying to root in water. It requires the water to be changed every 3 days or so. I'm assuming because it...

    UPDATE: INJURED GOLDFISH

I posted about 3 weeks ago a fish I had that was severely injured. Wasn't sure he was going to make it but after nearly four weeks and he's still alive. I moved him into his own 30-gallon stock tank. I put him in a 10-gallon to get his pictures while I cleaned his stock tank. His wounds are...

    My Fish Room and Fish

The smaller tanks are Betta tanks, the large one a freshwater community tank with two plecos, Corey cats, bamboo shrimp, a couple of mollies, red tail shark, and male guppies. The twenty-gallon has the female guppies and fry in it. I try to keep males and females separate cause Lord knows I have...

    Severely injured Goldfish

I hope he recovers also. I've had him a very long time. He was bought as a feeder fish for my frog many years ago. He was the only one who survived and I gave him a reprieve and moved him to the outside pond. I've had him about eight years now. The frog has since passed away and I went strictly...

    My Fish Room and Fish

I am not by any means a professional but not a beginner either. Takes a lot of work having 8 separate tanks. The last one added was the indoor pond. It's 90 gallons with all live plants around it. Kept them alive during the Wisconsin winters and don't have the heart to take them back outside...
