I think a member of his forum got permission to publish the book in print a little while back. I don't think it's widely circulated though, so you might have to contact him directly. Probably easier to download the ebook though. It'll takes AGES to download, but well worth it.

    Opiwhite...worth It?

I haven't been converted to the dark side yet (aka marines). As for live plants, my rainbow cichlids ensure swift death to all plants except moss balls and anubias. Really like the little guys...just wish they'd stop eating everything that's green.

    Suggestions For Fish?

Not that I'm biased towards rainbowfish *coughs suspiciously* but I think your tank is begging for a rainbowfish addition. I think one of the smaller species like Melanotaenia praecox (dwarf neon rainbowfish) would do well in your tank.

I definitely agree that it's an interesting philosophical argument. I suppose it depends on how you define the genders. The presence/absence of the Y chromosome isn't always the decisive factor in determining gender. If it were, then androgen insensitive women wouldn't exist. These are...

Colorful Fish Or Pet Fish? Which Would You Rather Have?

Not entirely accurate....there used to be a video on YouTube of a guy who taught an oscar to fetch a golf ball. Lol. They're greedy so and sos aren't they? I normally feed mine first thing in the morning when I come down the stairs. Now, whenever they hear someone coming down the stairs they...

Love Tappin's book. It makes looking after rainbowfish soo much easier. Going off on a tangent slightly (but hopefully not hijacking OP's thread), has anyone come across M. Isim in the flesh? They're also an undescribed rainbowfish which is seen infrequently in the hobby. I've seen juveniles in...

My tank will be 10mm thick as well, so based in your input it seems OptiWhite would be beneficial. Out of interest, how big is your tank? Ok, cheers for the info. I'm avoiding a black water set up for now - the aim of this tank is going to be to gawk like a moron at all the pretty fish, so I...

Help, Nitrate Problems - Tta, Eagles, Flutter?

If you definitely want to reduce your tap nitrates then I'd agree that nitrazorb is useful. My tap water is similar to yours - usually around 30-40ppm, but occasionally higher. I reduce my tap nitrates by storing the water in a container for a day or two with a nitrazorb pad. The last time I...
