Ah! Thank-you! I was worried as I've had Tiger Lotus(Nymphaea zenkeri) before and they needed high lighting and everything lol. Mind you, that was a red plants not a green one like the Nymphoides so I'd expect it probably is easier I have LED lighting on my tank and will be using Tropica...

I'm getting a 1-2-Grow Banana Plant(Nymphoides) for my tank when I have it sorted :lol:   How have you found it for care and growth? I've been researching and from what I can gather it grows quickly and easily if under enough light? :)

  I might do... I don't know lol, I can't decide between Emerald Eye Rasboras and Lampeye's Killifish lol. I've always wanted to keep Lampeyes but I've kept Emerald Eye's and they are funny little fish lol.

Ph 7 is way too high , these fish do better around ph 5. Im saying putting them in VERY acidic Ph might harm them.     Apparently they can go up to 7 but 7 is the very limit for them.

  I've heard of these being kept in soft water(which is what mine is) successfully and breeding which is why I planned to get them. Same for the Nannacara/Laetacara(which are soft water species as far as I'm aware)   pH - 7. kH - 30mg/l.

My rams did this, sometimes it takes them a bit of time to realize there are no eggs any more. My pair continued to guard and clean and fan the rock they laid their eggs on for about 3 days after they ate the eggs :lol: They can get confused sometimes.

  No one truly knows where Flowerhorns came from so these could turn into a strain of Flowerhorn. Would like to see picture but agree that they will most likely all be sterile as more hybrids are.

Was she with males in the shop? If so, then your guppy is most likely not the father. How long after you got her did she have fry? Days? Weeks?   NC, the colour of the fry is not a reliable way to tell the father. My fry are always different, even from the same parents.

Just ask for about a 2x2inch piece of his filter media(the sponges in the filter) and put it in yours. That will kick start the cycle as from a 200l there will be a lot of bacteria, possibly too much so some may need to die off but it'll not be a problem.   If possible try and get the media...

It's a Bumble Bee Goby - Brachygobius doriae. They can be very nippy. I've got one that has to live alone because they are predatory. They stay small, under an inch long, and although are famed for brackish water - Mine is in Freshwater :)

If you can get some of that mature media from your friends dads tank and put that in your filter you'd be completely skipping the cycle :)   You may get a small spike when you add fish because some of the bacteria may die during transport and they need to spread to your media too but it'll sort...

No. It's bottled bacteria again. It's all dead because they have no food source or water flow on a shop shelf so they die off and it's basically like adding water to water when you use them. Ask at Walmart if you can have some mature media from one of their cycled filters and add it to your...

You could ask for some mature media from their filter to put in your filter. The bottled bacteria won't cycle your tank... It doesn't work... The filter will have been cycled but you've cleaned it haven't you? 

  Yeah... You have the keep the frozen mice in a freezer or you can breed your own and cull them when they reach the right size :/ Not for the faint of heart.

None of the filters or bottled bacterias work. They are all dead. The bacteria need a food source and waterflow which they don't get in a bottle on the shop shelf...

  It depends on there age and size. They start on pinkies and move up the sizes(pinky, fluff, hopper, small, medium, large and sometimes even extra large) as they grow :)

  My male Butter was only £100 because he came with a full set-up as well and is five(nearly six) years old My female Hypo is seven(nearly eight) years old. My new pair are both only a few months old. They were hatched this year. So all in all, not too pricey really.

My female was free from my uncle as he was re-homing her due to space issues and the male was £100 with his 3ft viv set-up.   My new pair were £60 for the pair and they are Stripes :)

If you don't cycle, the fish will suffer and you will lose a lot of them. I'm sorry but if that's how you act towards a living creature I don't think you should think about keeping fish :/
