the main reason why I boil the cucumber is cos I have 15 +tanks of plecos and shrimps it's more easier and saves time , another good way of getting it to sink to the bottom is by putting sliced up cucumber in the freezer a day or two before feeding

A 20 gallon will be fine I keep approximately15- 20 to each 10 gallon tank

plecos and Shrimps love cucumber i cut cucumber in slices and then boil it for 3 minutes i drop a slice in each tank it will sink to the bottom no need to hold it down with anything

I will keep approximately 30 fry, and keep them in the same tank they spawned in i find they don't get aggressive towards each other onto they are almost full adults rearing 30 fry is more manageable then a couple of hundred

as far as I am aware there is not such a place where to get Mutt minnows White Cloud Mountain minnows can be kept with goldfish however it would be far better kept them by themselves
