Quick update tonight. And a concern. First the results. Nitrite 0 Ammonia 0 Nitrate 5 My concerns; Those tiny white floating things are back again (as I posted before) what is this will it ever stop? Also, while I was scooping water into the testing tubes, I noticed it was burning my fingers...

So i left my tank for 2 days, i did however add the ammonia drops 2 days ago. Here are my results today... I'll add some more ammonia drops every 3 days I guess then test. So I'll leave it as is for another day, add Ammonia drops leave it and test again in 24hrs.   Nitrite 1.0 Nitrate 20 Ammonia 0

New update.   Ammonia 0.25 Nitrite 0.5-1.0 Nitrate 20   I did about 80% water change today. I didn't add Ammonia. I will test in about an hour again.

Did a test using the diluted method it shows Nitrite at 2.0ppm, undiluted is 5.0ppm. This was after a water change 80%. Should i do another change of water?

Hmm maybe it's not the correct one but it looks like that. My substrate didn't have water in it, it was dry.

All I have is Carib substrate nothing else. Surface movement is good I set the filter outlet to so water moves the surface.

like the ones in a previous pic i posted. only this time was double the amount and was some encrusting around the tank. They are white/grey. I found when i tried to remove it, it was almost like a filth on the surface.   http://i64.tinypic.com/2ljtefd.jpg

Okay thank you . The pH is 7.6.no water changes just top off.heater is on, filter on and I've not touched it. I've added ammonia two drops last week. There was many white floating things again I removed them today.

I'm starting to think, it would of been better to cycle with some hardy fish.i know it is cruel to do so.

Its very sad, bc not only fish but also albino frogs and axolotls are dyed.

I read that Nitrites can take up to 8 weeks before it actually can drop, is this accurate?
