I am not really sure but I would recommend doing a water change and reducing the amount of lights to help prevent more algae growth. There is an article about algae growth in one of the forums which would be worth checking out if you haven’t already.

It is defiantly a very bright tank but the decorations look great! What size is the tank, and do you know if the dwarf gouramis are both male because they might show aggression and it is not recommended to keep more than one male but other than that looks amazing!!!

Females appear a bit larger than males and females can have a more grey belly rather than a more black colored belly.

I’m so sorry. Pretty difficult problem to deal with when your first start out. I personally don’t know how to treat this but I bet Colin_T would know. He’s really good at helping people with sick fish so I would find his account at the bottom and “start a conversation” with him or email him.

It sounds like a great plan! You might get to size up soon. Your tank is a little small for that amount of fish especially since the guppies and platys reproduce.

I am not sure how to treat it but Colin_T would probably know. He’s really good at giving advice for how to treat sick fish so I would maybe ask him to see what he says. For now keep doing the water changes and I think there is some kind of antibiotic you’ll need to get to help treat it.

It could be the start of cloudy eye. Which is normally caused by poor water quality so I would do a 30% water change. Could you put up a picture so we can see what it looks like to better identify what it is?
