go to Boots website and order in to your local store a bottle of ammonia, this is what ive used in the past. it really needs to be as pure ammonia as poss so 95% is probably right.

what is the length of the tank? electric yellow or blue? arent they african?

a group of colombian tetra might work. i had a group in with my ornatums which were a fiesty bunch and the tetra were able to take a bit of stick from them.

i had a group of wild ornatum cichlids and they would hide constantly, it took months for them to accept me as a friend rather than a threat and plenty of dithers worked quite well too. so patience is the key i think here. what size tank is it could you add any more dithers?

it really depends on how many you want to keep but as long as its 18 inches+ in height due to the long trailing fins it should be ok. as i said i have 8 in a 60x18x24 and once fully grown they will fill it pretty well. mine are wild angels so have much longer ventral fins than the normal scalare...

be patient with them and im sure they will colour up just nice. mine took a while but are looking stunning now. i think people are put off bolivians as they look so washed out when juvis and when in lfs tanks. get as many as possible to enjoy them more, space permiting :good:
