I recently got some balloon mollies, and they are going to be having fry soon. I learned that they are hybrid fish bred form a deformity and I have received mixed results on how humane this is. Byron and NickAu already shared their opinions. What do you think?

Large oscar fish or other large tropical must come with tank/filter/etc.

Please let me know if you have any unwanted fish, inverts, aquarium plants, aquariums, even if they leak.

Does the deformity cause the fish pain?

If you have good water movement from the filter, you don't necessarily need an air pump.

Too many bloodworms aren't good for fish.

What fish do you have/want to feed the bloodworms to? For any fish, you shouldn't feed them more than a few worms a day no more than three days a week.

Maybe some angelfish- what temperature and what are your parameters?

Snails will often eat live plants along with dead ones and can look unsightly crawling along the glass; not my opinion, though.

Maybe you can get some assassin snails if the methods Collin posted don't fit into your schedule; they eat pest snails but leave other inverts/fish/plants alone. They are not that good at quickly taking down large populations but are good for preventing them.

By loaches I mean Kuhli loaches. And if you do have all male angelfishes, they should be okay; a school of maybe six cherry barbs might work as long as there's plenty of hiding spaces for the platies.

How do they die? Do they disappear or do you see bodies?

If you have a lot of algae you could try Mystery snails. They will eat plants though, if there's not enough algae, but if there is enough they work very very well and very quickly in groups.

Get a few nerite snails to graze off the algae so you can keep the lights on for the plants.

I keep mosquitofish, fancy guppies, and I'll be getting some endlers soon.
