i would say better safe then sorry so you should rinse. And you should not be adding anything live except plants before you cycle. Cycle usually takes 2-6 weeks depending on your methods
Yea I was actually planning on getting frogbit first but after you’ve mentioned Anacharis I’ve decided to go with that. So I’ll be ok right? Im planning on buying 3 anacharis plants which I’m sure will grow very fast and large so Im guessing it will be plenty? I also have another question. What...
Well I was planning on getting the Anacharis because all the plants I’m planning on getting would be low light. So the Anachairs would be able to sort of give shade towards these plants. Why though? what happens if the top is covered?
Hi! I have one more question. Does it matter if I add all the plants at the same time? Like if I were to buy all my plants and put them in the same time will it affect anything?
I’ve tried to look for the poll but I wasn’t too sure how to do one Lol. My faster growing plants will be anacharis 100%. Maybe k will do a little bit of each. Only $10 for the pellia might as well. Anyways I have to go too, we can talk later if you can as I’m still unsure what I should do lol...
Apparently subwassertang is very easy to grow. Like Cory from aquarium co op on YouTube said he’s never seen one die before lol. That’s why I wanted it, thought it would be a nice easy plant
Do you think I should get it? These things sell out QUICK. only thing is I still need my lights to come in and I would probably need my anarchairs first for shade. I’m actually planning on getting Christmas moss! I just don’t know whether I should go for Christmas or Java moss 🤦♂️😂
@vanalisa ive found a different plant that is very similar to subwassertang I think or so have people mentioned. But I’ve read some articles that these plants can die off much easier than subwassertang and that it will usually break into a million pieces. Just wondering on your thoughts about...
So I can’t just place the mesh under the gravel right? Because my plan all along was to make those the small plants towards the front alongside the Anubias petite tied to broken rocks of ohko stone, but I probably only have enough for the Anubias not the subwassertang. just curious, since the...
ohh alright. So what would you recommend me doing with the sort of mesh plates it is attached too? I’ve attached the link in my first text if you would like to check it out!
Actually, based on research, I think I would like to go with anacharis instead of frogbit. Reason being I feel the flow on my two hob filters will be too much for frogbit even if flow is a minimum. Any chance you can give more info on anachairs like their plant care and requirements such as...
I think I would like to go with the Amazon frogbit, but a very good choice of a backup would be anacharis then. Also I was wondering what you thought about the subwassertang attached to the mesh. Can this be planted in the ground?
Seems rather difficult to keep then. I think I would like to stick with the frogbit instead? Also I was wondering what you people thought about the subwassertang attached to the mesh. Can this be planted in the ground?
after you’ve mentioned those plants I was searching up videos or other forums about it and a lot of people have complained that it is very annoying to keep. Apparently they shed a lot and will constantly clog up their hob filters. Is this true? What are you experiences? I would probably use them...
Hey guys, I’ve recently gotten a 60 gallon fish tank, starting to do a cycle, and for this tank I’ve decided I want to try live plants. big step for me definitely as it is my first ever try. I want to go with the low maintenance ones so I was thinking Java fern, Anubias, anubias petite, moss...
ive seen youtube videos about WCMM going to the temp as high as 78, but im not sure, still new to fishkeeping lol. idk if i wanna risk that, any other fish u recommend besides those 3 as im pretty sure those fish arent really around unless i buy them online
lol, so would WCMM be totally out of the question? ive read alot of good things about these guys and how they are hardy fish and in general i just like the way they look
first, thanks for the reply, ive read that the temp for pygmy corys should be around 71 to 78 so itll probably be around 71-75. my room is usually cold so ill have the heater set to that, what other fish do u suggest instead of WCMM? Thanks!
Hello! i have a cycled non live planted 10g tank that currently has a betta. and i jus wanted to know your guys opinions on what i am thinking about stocking options. I also have a cycled 5g(not live planted). for the 10 g tank, i want to put pygmy (dwarf) corys and some white cloud mountain...
Hello! Very sorry about no reply in so long, been busy with personal issues and work but im back lol, anyways ive kinda changed my mind. for the 10 g tank, instead of putting peppered corys which are a bit bigger, i want to put pygmy (dwarf) corys and some white cloud mountain minnows, but dont...
hey guys, lol sorry for the waited update, but literally everything is perfect :) I just tested the water and its like a solid bright yellow, no doubt this time! i think im tripping and like overthinking and making myself paranoid to see if there is like a slight problem with my betta fish i...

Wow, um hey guys, so im pretty sure this is good news, ammonia is like yellow with a little green, not quite zero, but forsure lowerer than 0.25 in my opinion, and nitrite is at 0. I'll attach the picture, one with flash, and one without just so you guys can see and tell the difference. let me...
