This is my Ciano aqua 60 tank. Its been running about 2 months , the water PH is 7.35, temp 26 degrees, Most of the plants are plastic other than the Java Moss, strange algae growth before shrimp tubes will be removed on next water change, i initially though it was a Java moss clump growing...

I like the temple style one, do you have a link to that one ? Whats your fish plans ?

There not that big to be honest but the rod is a cheap small telescopic i got from e-bay more suited to trout fishing in lochs rather than shore fishing, im far North uk up in the Shetland Islands.

Went fishing at the pier after dinner and caught three mackeral actually had four on at once but one got off, thought the little rod was going to break at one stage :lol:

That could be a good option for me then, do you use a plant food in the tank ? At the moment all i have is a lump of Java Moss which is starting to grow and spread but i am not using any plant feeding additives.

Cool, how did you do that just let it slowly sink in or funnel it into an area ? My substrate is quite small stones, almost like harling chips you would see on a wall, maybe 2-3mm size

It appears after having a count last night my three cherry shrimp have now become four :D Tank is doing great and all the fish/creatures look happy and healthy.

There mostly housed in the middle of the Java moss, the young ones they had were picked off quite quickly by the fish as never seen again

Have you tested the power supply to the heater, checked fuse etc ? Or maybe the heater element has failed.

I have the same issue with Java moss, ive wedged it between fake plant and heater otherwise it justs moves around.

That's a good shout, I can easy add in a bit of sponge, I put a new cartridge in yesterday so ill leave it until the next water change and stick in some sponge. Thanks BB

I have the Ciano CF80 , when i say the standard one i mean the blue water clear cartridge that goes above the sponge filter, it appears to be a chemical filter as well.

Thanks for the feedback, yes i was a little cautious over it as wondered what chemicals it would put into the tank, i take it the standard one will be ok or are you better off with the sponge filter only ?
