*shudders* I hate the sound of crunching snail shells. We get really bad snails on our garden path when it rains, and if I come in in the dark, I pray for no crunchy noises as it makes me physically sick... unfortunately your snail is probably dead. Get it out of your tank before it starts...

I thought celestial pearl danios (aka Galaxy Rasbora) got pretty big, therefore too big for a 5 gallon (I was apprehensive having a shoal of 6 in my 10 gallon)

Walking into (a store that sells everything here in the UK) and their display tanks have 2 sometimes more big fancy goldfish in them, in grimey water. Makes me want to vomit everytime

when you have a tank in every room, and possibly even a room (or a garage conversion) completely for tanks.... I think then you should stop lol... or get a pond o_O

+1 with taffy about the tetras losing colour. Turned my tank lights on at 2am (I was curious to see what they were up to) to find all my neon tetras motionless and almost see through pale... cue 40 litre water change, running up and downstairs with buckets of water to do the change, straight...

I have 4 neons in my 48litre and although I'll be upping the numbers I'll not go past MAX 7 or 8... 20litres is far too small for neons IMO
