    Kribs won't breed.

IMO you just need patience. Assuming your water parameters are suitable for them they will most likely breed.

    Advice and Support for Novice

Have a look at some of the nano fish available. You can get a lot more fish in a 60 litre if they are small. Maybe shoals of dwarf corydoras and something like ember tetras in a planted tank would look great.

    Corydoras

The bigger the better, but I'd say 36" minimum if its a standard size.

    Can I add cherry barbs?

Sterbai will likely be more expensive, but IMO its worth it as I think they are the most beautiful of the corries.

    DIY LED

This was my rack when I set it up a couiple of years ago. I'm basically planning on replacing the wooden strip holding the spotlights with a wooden hood type thing with LEDs inside. It will be a bit lower than the existing one but otherwise much the same. The tanks all have individual covers so...

    DIY LED

I have a rack with six 24*12*15 tanks which are currently lit with individual 20w led spotlights. I would like to build a light using LED strips running the length of the tanks ie 6ft. (the tanks are end on in the rack). The light frame would be about 6 inches above the tanks. While I don't need...

Will My Outdoor Goldfish Change Colors?

My goldfish in my pond breed every year. While most get their adult colour with a year, some take longer. One of the largest fish in the pond still hasn't changed and he/she must be four years old I reckon.

    Shrimp Tankmates?

Nearly all fish will eat anything they can fit in their mouths. new born shrimp are tiny and while you may have more success with smaller tetras you will still lose a lot of baby shrimp. I have some shrimp hitchhikers in a tank with pencil fish and a few of the babies are surviving but the tank...

    Shrimp Tankmates?

Unless your tank is very heavily planted, very few (if any) baby shrimp will survive. Congo tetras are fairly big and may well target the adult shrimps too. Very few fish are safe to keep with shrimp so you need to accept that baby shrimp will struggle to survive, even with the smallest fish.

    Need opinions....now!!!!

Its a chinese algae eater, Gyrinocheilus Aymonier, also known as a sucking loach. Not a desirable species especially at that size.

    Glofish playing tag?

I think Skirt tetra is probably a modern name for them. They were called Black Widows when I started fishkeeping.

    Glofish playing tag?

You don't have to buy gloFish though,. They will mix in with normal coloured teras of the same species. I'm not sure but yours looks a bit like a black widow tetra. I'm not a fan of genetically modified fish.

    Mystery fish

You are probably right, its really the only logical thing it can be. I have had the odd fry appear, but by the time I've spotted them in the jungles that are my tanks, they are the same colour as the parents, maybe this one has still to attain its adult colouring.

    Mystery fish

Nannostomus Marginatus. That was my initial assumption too, but I noticed my newcomer has a rounded tail whereas pencilfish have a divided tail.

    Mystery fish

Hello all, it's been a while since I posted on here. I migrated to keeping shrimp so haven't been so interested in fish recently. Anyway, I have a tank with a few pencil fish in it, as well as some shrimp that have managed to hitch-hike from one of the adjacent tanks. (its in a rack of two...

    White Cloud Mountain Minnows Dead

Assuming your yarn isn't toxic, you could put the spawning mop in your tank, and when the fish have spawned, move it into fry tank, which you could fill with water from your main.

    Mass fish deaths

Did you test the water AFTER your fish had died? I'm wondering if tank hasn't been cycled and ammonia poisoning is killing them.

    Looking after Platies.

A densely planted tank will allow a fair percentage of them to survive but unless you have an outlet for the fry, your tanks will soon become overcrowded with a mass of platties.

    Setting Up New Tank

Looks to be a fairly standard internal filter. Stick it to the glass of your tank so that the water flows out of the arm close or at the surface. Every couple of weeks or so, unplug it, take the top off and rinse out the foam which will be inside in tank water. You won't need the airstone. I...

    Eventful few days

I had a spare 2 foot tank so I decided I'd like to breed rams. Wednesday - Set tank up (mature filter so no need to cycle) Sunday - Bought pair of rams (could tell looking at them in shop that that they were ready to spawn) Monday - put in some pencil fish as dithers Tuesday - Rams Spawned...

    0.25 ppm Ammonia Reading

Were you adding ammonia when you cycled your tank? Fishy is producing his own and it seems your filter isn't keeping up yet.

    20g tank stock

The livebearers prefer harder water than tetras and corries. More corries would also be better, ie 6 per tank. I don't know what a DG is . A lot depends on your water parameters as to which fish would be best suited. I don't have much experience of bettas but there is probably a good...

Fish novice with tank problems, need help

I'm not familiar with that tank. I assume it will have a small internal powerfilter which would be where your carbon sponge is. The carbon will only remain effective for a few weeks and will do no harm unless you are medicating fish, in which case it might negate any medicines. Once the carbon...

Fish novice with tank problems, need help

The two options that I can see are to rehome your betta or to start on a regime of water changes and attempt a "fish in cycle". This will explain it far better than I ever could. Your nitrates at 20 are not particularly high btw...

Please help! Cannot find any info on this

I think it is more than likely a deformity caused by inbreeding. Deformed mouths and spines are common manifestations of this. Your problem for another day should probably be sorted out as soon as possible. As you've found out mollies will breed and breed until you are over run with them.
