    My 300L Discus Tank

You're telling me. That is the advantage of a breeder rather than LFS. My LFS has them in half the size looking ropey for £45.

    My 300L Discus Tank

One of the top guys in the whole country for discus and breeding them. They were totally fine and my journey was almost two hours with a Maccys stop :)

    My 300L Discus Tank

Better one of the L200. This plec is quite active and is looking better the longer he is in there.   The most active is the L14 and he has grown so much since I put the discus in and have been feeding all the beefheart.     For my discus I was only going to go to one place and that was Steve...

    My 300L Discus Tank

I had an Aquareef 300 marine tank that I shut down in August after it had been up and running for a couple of years. It used to look like this.   I sold most of the equipment but kept the LED lights iluminaire 900's. The sump I filled with sponges and pan scrubbers.   I tried to clean the tank...

    What Would You Keep ...

If I had that tank now I'd either go  discus like I have done anyway :) or if I had to choose another possibly 6 Channa Pulchra snakehead. Did this about 7 years ago and it was one of my favourite ever set ups.   Or Malawi/mbuna never done it and always fancied it

I'm Thinking About Getting A Saltwater Reef Aquarium.

yes and carpets are especially predatory they are sticky as hell and move very quickly when a fish is in their grasp.   Bubble tips are perfect and split off to form baby anemones which you can sell

I'm Thinking About Getting A Saltwater Reef Aquarium.

Carpets are stunning but get very large and are the most predatory nems. I don;t know anyone who has had one withuot losses.   I can highly recommend Bubble tips I always kept them and a flame one I had was stunning. They aren't known for eating fish either. If you like carpets have a look at...

    10 Gallon Saltwater Aquarium?

you can and people will but having had lots of exerience with marine I wouldnt now.   I set up a 65 litre tank 6 years ago and within weeks bought a bigger one. If you are doing salty just get the biggest tank you can fit/afford and it makes life so much easier and  enables you to keep better...

I'm Thinking About Getting A Saltwater Reef Aquarium.

Go for it. I have just shut mine down after having three reefs in last 5 or so years They are easier than erhaps peole make out but the margins for error are smaller. You really should get the biggest tank you can get as I started out with a 110 litre one that proved difficult due to the smll...

    Oscars Or Piranhas

Piranhas aren't cichlids?   I've kept a couple of big pairs of oscars in the past and love those fish. Bags of character will swim about and feed from wherevery our hand is etc   Red Bellys I found incredibly boring as a display. I had 9 largeish ones in a 750 litre tank. They foul the water and...

    Plant With Browning Leaves

I'm having the same issue and have LED's .i suspect light is not an issue other than it is too intense for the plant and there is not enough nutrients for it to feed on due to the intensity of the light

My Vallis And Swords Wont Grow?

I'm back with freshwater again, never had a problem with vallis and swords before but in this set up the giant vallis and swords have just disapeared. The vallis just ends up as strands in the surface and the swords become see through.   Coyuld I be over lighting as I am using my old marine LEDs
