I think either harlequin rasboras or ember tetras. If you go with harlequin's go with 15 or so, and if you go with embers go with 30-35 if they have that many.

A black background would look really cool in that tank. I have anacharis in the back of my tank which has gotten so tall it is pretty much acting as a floating plant whilst still being rooted. I dose the tank once a week with some plant growth. I will post on the weekend what it looks like.

I think that the congos should be fine. I was just thinking of a bit more variety. Yeah cories should be fine. None of my panda corys have uprooted any of my plants.

I think it would be either congo or cardinal tetras. Corys shouldn't uproot plants. At least mine haven as of yet/

Ok... I added driftwood with an anubias a few weeks ago, but I don't think that that is going to help much. All I really want is for my tank to be under 200ppm. I love soft water fish and a lot of the ones on my bucket list are soft water fish.

Do you do the macro photography or your wife? I'm really confused what it is.

As for peaceful, you can't really go much far from cardinals or rummynose tetras. Rummynoses are my favourite fish and look so striking when they are happy. You can tell they are happy when their entire head goes red.

Either way he will get too big for the tank and the substrate isn't ideal. I think he is a featherfin squeaker. He needs a 50 gallon minimum for fully grown and needs a lot of hiding places.
