New here & questions about fish per tank!

So your tank is 34 gallons. The calculator on the right side can help you as well. Your tank will be around 30 gallons when filled up and I think @WhistlingBadger mentioned that in post 6. If you have soft water, adding more corys would be the best to add. You won't need any more tetras, they...

Introducing young angelfish to tank with adult angelfish?

Be careful with the bigger angels though. Sometimes if a young angel strays into a breeding pair of angels' territories, it will be aggressively attacked or in some cases killed. So just be careful with the ones you are putting in. Also can we see some pictures of the babies? I'm interested to...

    38 Gallon Hex Stocking

What are the dimensions of the tank? You can keep a pair of angels in a 38 gallon, but with nothing else in it even corys. That tank would mean it would be a breeding tank for angelfish.

    Biorb substrate?

So in our kitchen we have a 30 litre or 7ish gallon tank, and I just wanted to ask if I could have sand in the biorb. I already asked my mum about this a few times but I just wanted to ask on here as well. The substrate in there right now is some quiet big kind of like rocks. Is that what you...

So sorry for your corys, they would've loved it in their new home. Hopefully they send you 6 panda corys for free.

    Marco the guppy

A 10 gallon is a lot better for Marco. As for tankmates (if you want babies) I'd go for 3 females and then maybe some sort of smaller cory such as Corydoras pygmaeus. If you are to go with those, 6 would be a good number. Or you could do a pair of larger cory's such as Corydoras aeneus or...

    Guppy

Oh ok I see. I think you could get away with 2 more albino corys. As @jonny-5 said, the danios will eat the baby guppies relatively quickly.

New Micro Tank! (13 L Tank) Where Do I Start?

I must politely recorrect you on this. Bettas require a 5 gallon tank as a recommended and a tank smaller than 5 gallons usually can't have any fish in it. Since a tank that is smaller than 5 gallons is classed as a nano tank, the only possible tankmates would be shrimp. Also, I have had a...

    Guppy

Ok so I'm not sure about the clamped fins, she could be stressed, but I picked up that you have a 10 gallon? DO you still have that tank. Also what cory is it? Corys do well in groups of 6 and usually don't do well singly. Also what is the tank dimensions length x width x height and your GH...

    Tankmates for betta

How big is the betta you are planning on getting? I think amano shrimp could be a possible option so you could get 2. Amano's will get to 4ish cm, so shouldn't be bothered by the betta. Snails are probably the better option though.

    Baby Harlequin Rasboras??

He looks very small, but I think what @Colin_T said above is correct. He's most likely a young juvenile and is only just beginning to show colour. Although having him in the breeder box is also a good thing as he won't be seen as food to your DG.

Pregnant guppy gave birth to only 4 fry

You can look into adding some floating plnats or maybe a few more hiding places for the babies. It is likely a few will be eaten but that is normal. The fry will probably be very well hidden and won't be seen by the other female. Keep the other female in there with her.

New here & questions about fish per tank!

Adding to your post @Ellie Potts, anubias can be grown without being attached, I currently have one that is growing in sand. Every week I dose the tank with some plant stuff which helps the plants grow. Also, you might want to add a heater to the bucket so the water doesn't deteriorate in...

New here & questions about fish per tank!

Live plants you could add could anubias, amazon swords, some floating plants like water sprite or amazon frogbit. For substrate I would recommend all the time sand. Sand will benefit your corys. If your substrate is very large pebbles or gravel, then the cory's can damage their barbels and this...

New here & questions about fish per tank!

This has been mentioned twice in this thread but GH is one of the most important factors that has to be given so that ideas can be suggested. All you need to do is go to your water company's site and put in your postcode and it should come up as General Hardness.

    14 Gallon tank stocking idea

Cory choices could be Julli, Panda, Emerald, Bronze, Albino Bronze and Pepper Corys. For tetras, I don't think emperors are a good idea as they are active and this can stress slower moving fish such as angles. Rummynose or Head and Tail lights would probably be better.

Couldn't we all. It's the communities fault though in my opinion. I feel like people are like "oh forget this, theres a vaccine we'll be fine"; but what they don't realize is that they are spreading it to people around them. Mankind is so self seclusional sometimes. I would use stronger...

    14 Gallon tank stocking idea

Just do 1 BN pleco as they create a lot of waste. You could try otos but be careful when the angels get big as they might eat them. Although if you add 6-8 of them before the angel they should be fine. Personally, I'd go with otos.

Random yellow winged insect in tank

They look a bit like afids to me. Not sure if they are dangerous or not. If you gathered live plants and put them in your tank, these insects could easily have hitched a ride and flew onto your nursery tank.
