    African Cichlid Minerals And Salt

If you have wilds then yes id say its pretty essential but if all your fish are TB(tank bred) then your water stat's are fine :good:

    Malawis

That is a lot of fish for a 190L aquarium, you can overstock Malawi's to a certain extent yeah but there is a limit and it doesn't mean it will sort out the aggression, your always going to have the odd aggression issues but nothing major. If you choose your species correctly you can have less...

Maybe Starting A Cichlid Tank Help

I good mix would be Labidochromis caeruleus and pseudotropheus demasoni as the colour contrast will be sorted but i wouldn't recommend having dems if your just starting out with malawi's they can be highly aggressive species and only work well usually as a species only tank or in higher numbers...

Help! My Malawis Are Dying One By One

It can be very deadly yeah, Salt baths can help also but everything fishy friend has said is helpful and spot on. Potassium Permanganate can also be used, but this is not a treatment for the inexperienced and you must not walk away when using it and I also highly recommend having the...

My Female Ndumbi Is Holding And I Dont Know What To Do

If this is her first time holding she may not hold the brood full term. So you could move her to the 120 but she may still spit the fry early, personally if this was me id leave her in the main tank to spit naturally. You don't want to spook her if this is her first time holding by stripping the...

    Most Attractive Freshwater Fish

Depends on species most are from 1" to 2" and the larger species are closer to 6". They are best kept in shoals and the males will become slightly territorial and defend a territory of their own in larger aquariums :good:

    Betta Swollen Behind The Gills

Salts baths are a good thing to do to start the process when treating fish. Using salt encourages growth of new mucus and will also clear any bacteria which may be lurking, The salt is a good general treatment but you Have to be careful as some fish are more sensitive than others and the fish...

Try and get a few slightly bigger cobbles? That way you can stack them up :hyper:
  17. Malawi MaD

    Betta Swollen Behind The Gills

Yeah, that would be a good thing to do. Give him a day brake from the food, If the swelling doesn't go down then it could be an internal infection/parasite.

    My Tank

Awesome :) don't forget pics when you get them, they will look amazing in that tank. Their colours should stand out really well to. I want some soo much lol.
  19. Malawi MaD

    Betta Swollen Behind The Gills

I don't think its dropsy as his scales don't look like they are protruding but he is very swollen. He could be constipated or it could be an internal bacteria infection, im not an expert on betta's so not sure if this is a normal occurrence if they do eat a little too much or if the pea's will...

    Betta Swollen Behind The Gills

Looks like some kind of ulcer. I cant really tell with the pic been a little blurry if it could be dropsy or not too. Have you just fed him? He may of eaten to much to and hes slightly bloated.
  24. Malawi MaD

    Poor Rummynose Tetras :(

Yeah seems like you have done the right thing to me, if it is a fungal infection then melafix should sort it out pretty quick. :good: Plus its not going to do any harm to the fish even if there isn't actually anything wrong.

Are My Ndumbi Red Tops Mating (Video)

He is a very nice male, good size to. You may find that the sub-dom could turn out to be the more colourful fish, that's if the dominant male lets him (wont be any time soon looking at him :P ). Usually find the sub dom is always a cracker just hiding it due to the other male. How many fish you...

Great!Looking forward to the pics :D..Everything must be going well to if your fish are breeding, always a good sign.

Are My Ndumbi Red Tops Mating (Video)

Yeah it is funny, looks like there having a right rant! lol. Dont be, with them showing dominance to each other this could lead to them trying to attract the females and then breeding. So just keep an eye on them, something may happen soon. :good:

Starting My New African Cichlid Tank

Its looking excellent, all the fish are looking well, tanks looking nice a clear and its not overstocked (which i prefer personally) Algae's coming along nicely like you said, give it more time and they will probably start grazing. :good:

She will be fine, out of the males sight that's what shes wanting to achieve :good:
  32. Malawi MaD

Are My Ndumbi Red Tops Mating (Video)

Nope their fighting mate, the sub dom male isn't happy with his position by the looks of it and wants to be top dog lol. Dont worry about them, they will more than likely get bored and go back to doing their usual goings on :good: How many males and females do you have James?

Any One Getting A Psvita ?

There is soo much that the ps4 could have over the ps3, i mean the ps3 is getting old, the ram is terrible init. Its ok sometimes but it can be quite cluky n slow, plus cross game chat can be added plus the graphics can still be pushed with better graphics cards, processors etc... The ps3 is good...

Any One Getting A Psvita ?

Need a PS4 IMO that's what they should be working on, not a handheld, not quite sure why they bother with them, the vita has flopped in japan as far as sales go, so doubt it will sell well in the rest of the world either.

    New To Mbuna

Could have 3 smaller species in your tank no problem but the acei and labs get quite large. Agree with Dieses though, could have 6 of each of the 2 species recommended. Although if you wanted more of a variety you could go with the smaller species. :good:
