I've got the 200l and all of the parts come out filter wise including the pump so id assume so, if its the same as mine.

The tanks arrived today :) will post a pic once the stands made and its in place after work lol.   She takes a lot of interest to be fair, shes more excited then me when it comes down to it. Shes a real animal lover no matter the species.

I wish. The missus wants to be here when i do it so have to wait till next week as shes working the weekend. :(

most modern emulsions barely effect the air/atmosphere now days anyway so shouldnt be an issue

  That is so true! I knew i wouldn't be happy with a 100L tank but i got it to test the waters as i live with my mum and shes fine with it.   So an upgrade is in order :P

Got the wood put in the tank and my fish switched over now.   Just need the plant to grow in a bit more but over all im happy with the final outcome.       Next project is going to be a bigger tank :P which i am currently saving for.

Its nothing to do with water quality etc.   I got a starter kit supplied with an internal filter which i cant stand as its taking up valuable space and is unsightly.   It also states its max output is 450L/H which in reality is obviously going to be lower.

Looking in to getting an external filter for my 100L tank.   I'm preferably looking to over filter it as knowing myself as well as i do ill end up upgrading before long.   Can anyone recommend ones to look at please? I have a budget of £100 maybe abit more.       All i keep seeing is people...

Is it safe to use old roof slate in a tank? aslong as its washed thoroughly etc?   Didnt know where to put this question lol

  Thanks Jetman. This was my original idea but i never did it. I wanted to have a higher hill and a white path running down it with slate steps. i may give it a go later tonight/tomorrow and add a picture.   I'm going for real plants as i cant stand the sight of plastic ones now.
