Hi, I am gonna set up a 40 gallon planted tank, with shrimp and a few neons (btw does anywone have any stocking ideas?). The problem is on a shrimp site it recommends only using sponge filters, which aren't powerful and I am just wondering what I should do. Any suggestions are appreciated...

if your not just being stupid piranhas need to be kept in shoals of 6 or more, or just one by itself

im a RO unit noob as well, they use pressure to take minerals out of the water, usually 99% of impurities are removed

shrimp may work but I dunno if they will get eaten

thanks for all the replies but I still need to know about the CO2 as I am definately going to do the tank. Anyone have ideas for stocking? My current ideas are: some shrimp and maybe some neons, could I have anything else in there?

I dont think so, I used online calculators/converters to come up with this. Anyone else have ideas?

neons are quite colourful as well, or you could go for cardinal tetras, which look like neons but have a red stripe all the way along their body, both school and are quite active :thumbs:

If I had a 15 gallon tank that I wanted to create a 'underwater garden' in, with some shrimp, what plants would be easy to keep (and nice looking!). Also, would I have to have a CO2 system?? Thanks for the help :lol:

Would it be easier or harder to keep a nano with only inverts and maybe 1-2 clowns than keeping a 45 gallon FOWLR tank?

Hi, I was in a shop and I say these puffers labelled as Mba puffer, they were light skinned and had black markings, can anyone I.D. them for me or give me an idea of what they are?
