I have a shoal of around 15 tigers. A friend gave me an albino, rescued from a toilet death due to a tank shut down. For the 1st week, it just seemed to fight with all my tigerbarbs. It its all good now. I was going to buy a small shoal of them for him to hang about with but am in 2 minds now...

I've red about them before but never actually saw any, fish look really nice. Where did you get them and are they expensive? I've also red that they lower the PH in your tank too, is this true?

I think once some of the others start to catch up with him, size wise, he will more than likely start to display more. Or even when they start looking to pair up also. But I think your right in thinking its just the chilled out mended of the pack. New scape is looking good to by the way! But...

Much better with the black background :good: I painted the back of my tank with cheap black gloss and it looks great. It makes all the colours in the fish and plants really pop doesn't it? Just wait till your plants grow in a bit, it will look awesome. And glad ur stats are ok too. I thought...

What about getting some more fish? As dithers. Nothing big. You say you have tiger barbs? I would up the number of them as they are very active. If there's active fish in the tank it may make your sev feel a bit safer. That and putting a background on your tank will look a bit more boxed in and...

Nice tank :good: love jag cichlids. I had 1 years ago I kept with oscars. It was a beast! But quickly out grew my tank and had to get shot of it. They grow pretty fast from what I can remember. Look forward to reading and seeing your lot grow. Good luck

I recently done used play sand in my aquarium. Got 2 bags from argos at 3quid a bag and it more than fills my 4foot tank and it looks great. Was a bit of a pain to clean right enough, but glad I did it.

Great set ups! I especially like the 240ltr as its pretty close to my stock in my 240ltr :) I love your tetra in the 160ltr. Amazing colour in there fins :good: You should fill your tanks up to the top though, give your fish a good bit more room to kick about. But great tanks anyway!

I miss keeping African butterfly fish, fish are amazing fish. Good idea keeping the water level so low. Mine used to jump like mad when I done water changes. Great shots by the way, and nice set ups :good:

I've always favoured it over treatments for white spot, fin rot, fungas or any wounds that fish pick up. All of which are a rarity now thankfully. But I would still rather aquarium salt over just about ANY bottled treatment. Wouldn't advise using it for every water change though.
