When The Goings Bad Its Good And When Its Good....

..... It's actually bad! Why is it, when something happens in your tank, like white spot, fin rot or an algae problem. You burst you bend over backwards or bust your hump to get it sorted, which is good. Time progresses and you physically see your fish and tank getting better. Then your tank...

    Welcome To The Jungle

Nicely done man. It's a very active tank isn't it? Must be great to watch. Your valli's on the left look great. Really like that you've trimmed each individual leaf to a different size, rather than grabbing the whole lot and lopping it off like a crew cut  Keep the update coming mate...

    Welcome To The Jungle

Haven't seen an update on your tanks in ages mate, this 1 is a cracker. Looks as good as ever. Have to say though, I did prefer it with the open top. Just a pity the t8's didn't look half as good open as your old lights did. Still... Awesome looking tank mate :good: Edit: spelling

    Albino Tiger Barb

Oops, didnt mean for that to read like that. I meant 2 different kinds of the same species, bit swim with their own kind. Anyway.... that's what I thought. Looks like I'll b finding him a new home because I don't want a big miss-match of fish in 1 shoal. Cheers :good:

    Albino Tiger Barb

I have a shoal of around 15 tigers. A friend gave me an albino, rescued from a toilet death due to a tank shut down. For the 1st week, it just seemed to fight with all my tigerbarbs. It its all good now. I was going to buy a small shoal of them for him to hang about with but am in 2 minds now...

Some Of My Aquarium And Fish Photos.

Brilliant tmc, cheers very much. I'll give it a go, although, my PH is already pretty low (6.8) but as long as it doesn't fall under 6.5 my fish will all be ok.

Some Of My Aquarium And Fish Photos.

I've red about them before but never actually saw any, fish look really nice. Where did you get them and are they expensive? I've also red that they lower the PH in your tank too, is this true?

    Little Monsters...

I think once some of the others start to catch up with him, size wise, he will more than likely start to display more. Or even when they start looking to pair up also. But I think your right in thinking its just the chilled out mended of the pack. New scape is looking good to by the way! But...

    My 37 Gallon!

Much better with the black background :good: I painted the back of my tank with cheap black gloss and it looks great. It makes all the colours in the fish and plants really pop doesn't it? Just wait till your plants grow in a bit, it will look awesome. And glad ur stats are ok too. I thought...

    Taking Fish To Ma

Think it would be a good idea to call them ahead of making the trip. Just in case they don't/can't take them.

    My 37 Gallon!

Nice we set up you have there. Just keep an eye on your water parameters, those sea shells might affect them.

    Discus In 200L

You might be cutting it fine mate to be honest. I kept mine in a 240ltr for years and that was borderline. If its 4ft long then it should be fine... I think?

    Downsizing My Tank....

It would probably still be in the way, plus I won't be able to see it from my seat if its in the kitchen. It would look amazing there though, but probably still too big.

    Downsizing My Tank....

Lol keeping it outside isn't really an option. With our -8 deg (on a bad night) winters? Plus, it would be an easy target for the local young team. Just going to have to accept my fate and start the look out for a 3ft tank. My existing tank would fit in the kitchen/diner, but I want it in the...

    Downsizing My Tank....

..... and I'm gutted. Were moving house and there's literally no space for my tank to go. Always thought my next tank would have been a bigger one, but I'm now going from a 4footer to a 3footer. And I keep cichlids, severum, fire mouth and a blue acara. They'll need to be re-homed in the very...

    Severum Danger

What about getting some more fish? As dithers. Nothing big. You say you have tiger barbs? I would up the number of them as they are very active. If there's active fish in the tank it may make your sev feel a bit safer. That and putting a background on your tank will look a bit more boxed in and...

    Little Monsters...

Nice tank :good: love jag cichlids. I had 1 years ago I kept with oscars. It was a beast! But quickly out grew my tank and had to get shot of it. They grow pretty fast from what I can remember. Look forward to reading and seeing your lot grow. Good luck

    River Sand

I recently done used play sand in my aquarium. Got 2 bags from argos at 3quid a bag and it more than fills my 4foot tank and it looks great. Was a bit of a pain to clean right enough, but glad I did it.

    My Tanks - 60L, 160L, 240L

Great set ups! I especially like the 240ltr as its pretty close to my stock in my 240ltr :) I love your tetra in the 160ltr. Amazing colour in there fins :good: You should fill your tanks up to the top though, give your fish a good bit more room to kick about. But great tanks anyway!

Some Of My Aquarium And Fish Photos.

I miss keeping African butterfly fish, fish are amazing fish. Good idea keeping the water level so low. Mine used to jump like mad when I done water changes. Great shots by the way, and nice set ups :good:

    Api Aquarium Salt

I've always favoured it over treatments for white spot, fin rot, fungas or any wounds that fish pick up. All of which are a rarity now thankfully. But I would still rather aquarium salt over just about ANY bottled treatment. Wouldn't advise using it for every water change though.
