I just found another red worm but this time it is in my other aquarium, I’ve done extensive reasearch to see if it’s a parisite but I can’t find anything! I tried to take it out of the tank but the worm just started to rip apart, even when I moved it around after I took part of it out the worm...

Edit: I just found these weird small red worm in my aquarium and removed it, I was thinking it might be a parisite but it was bright red and easily tore apart just by me moving it, anyone know what this might be or if this could be related to the way my betta is acting?

I know that having soft water for a betta can help them thrive even more but I don’t think it is the main problem for how my betta is acting, I’ll still try to get a water softener pillow if I can but right now im definitely gonna do more water changes more often just to try and keep the water...

Usually once every 1-2 weeks is when I do a water change, I think I should probably do them a lot more often.

My ph exactly is 6.8 and for my nitrates I’ll do a water change, but the water has always been hard, I think it’s just how the water in my city is, im not sure how to soften the water though, how should I soften it?

I’ve been noticing this new odd pattern with my betta fish, the edge of his fins are slowly starting to get clear and he’s been staying at the top more often, I checked the water perimeters and there was no nitrite or ammonia but he still is at the top of the tank, I would consider him lethargic...

I’ve had several aquariums and have messed up several time with aquariums and still I encounter problems even when it seems like I’ve fixed every problem, what are your guys tips to become a better fish keeper/ how did you guys become better at fish keeping?

Edit: we’ll turns out putting the shrimp in a established aquarium was not a good idea, for some reason the day after I added them in the nitrites spiked to 10.0 and killed a shrimp as well as my betta that I’ve had since November, I don’t know why the nitrites spiked if it was a cycled tank

Your right I think the presence of the shrimp are going to probably disturb the nitrogen cycle, I’m gonna move them to a different temporary tank

I removed the worm and it didn’t have a round body like i thought, it had a flat body, I don’t know if that makes any difference in identifying what type of worm it is

The 2 long plants are the camboba and rotala indica, I know you should trim plants to make them look nicer or if they get too long but my main concern is will it still thrive and survive if I don’t trim it and let it grow.
