How do weather/dojo Loaches not work? They get along with my fish currently. I have a four footer, can they go in there for a few months until I can get a larger tank in Jan/Feb?

My local Petco actually gets butterfly and rope fish every few weeks and they sell pretty quickly.

Okay, I have weather Loaches, are those okay? By Butterfly Fish I meant African Butterfly Fish (the ones in the same family as arowana (the boneytongue family)).

By By hillistream loach do you mean weather Loaches? I've only heard them called weather Loaches. Could I get a breeding partner for the Pearl and blue Gourami and would that make it better for them?

Would it work to get 4-5 more Loaches and when they start to outgrow then re-home them? I don't particularly want to get rid of my Loaches but if it's best for them I will.

Okay, thank you for the advice, should I wait to get more Loaches/Danios until I have the larger tank ready (3-4 weeks)? Or should I just get them now to decrease stress even though it's only a 20 gallon (I'll do much more water changes and everything until the tank is ready).

Yes, which is why I would leave the pair. They do fine on their own in my tank. Also, it'll be 6+ years before the clown loaches even reach 6 inches and it'd be a max 3 years before I got a larger tank.

I know the groupings should be more, my water parameters are all good, and it's the slightest bit hard. pH is about 7.5. That's for my existing 20 that has the community, my 75 is still cycling.

I would raise the temperature in the tank but the heater I have in this tank isn't adjustable. In my other 20 gallon there is a adjustable heater but I don't want to swap heaters because I don't know if the one in the tank with Ich has parasite eggs on it. What should I do?
