Hey so just a few updates. Ph has maintenance about 8.0 to 8.4 Ammonia is back up again slightly but all fish are still alive and doing well. Been doing water changes 50 -70%!

Today and yesterday tank pH testing was 2 pm and 1 pm so only an hour off :)

Tap water came back 8.4 Tank water before water change today came back 8.2

So I collect tap water and elt it sit out for 24 hours, then I test the pH of the tap water? Do I also let the tank sample sit for 24 hours or no?

Just wanted to let everyone know. The water came back 0 ammonia 0 nitrite 10 nitrate!!!! I'm doing a 50% change just to be safe as well though :) I haven't lost anymore fish today.

That makes a lot of sense. My pleco won't let me have the other dead pleco, she keeps running away with it. Can she eat the other pleco?

I meant I just thought the fresh water was to much and the bacteria wasn't moving fast enough

BN pleco died now :( I think there's not enough beneficial bacteria being pumped out so the water changes are hurting them a bit. Tank is at about .15 ammonia again.

Tested tank for ammonia again It's mostly yellow but a slight green tinge so I'd say .15 or so maybe less. Doing a water change in a sec.

So clearly I'm not the best at decorating the tank which I wish I was because I see so many beautiful tanks. Does anyone have any websites they recommend to order from for decor or plants?

I eventually want to get into more plants but right now these are so low maintenance and it's great cause they grow crazy.

Oh thats not bad! The frogbit is super nice for the top. I also really like the water Sprite too because I like grassy or moss like plants due to the way and rate they grow! :)

Okay I also have a syringe that takes 1 ml fully so I could just do 5 of those as well until I eventually get replacements

Some new ones died bust mostly fish that have been in the tank for over a year. I'm guessing probably the ammonia since it was so high at the point I put them in the tank (I'm guessing) they died probably as well as chlorine

I had most then one by one they would roll and break 🤦🏽‍♀️

I had duck weed but it got stuck to the rims, glass, or sucked into the filter so I gave up on it. I have no idea what the plants are in my tank except the Java moss.

I dropped them a few months ago :(
