I may try a pair in my tank but I value the health of my fish so if there fighting I wouldn’t want to put them in a bad position

I think I’ll not set up the tank as I don’t think that more than one pea puffer can live in my tank and I was really looking for a fish with a lot of personality which pea puffers gave me

To be honest even trusted sources like aquarium co op say no more than 1 in anything less than a 10 gallon so I wouldn’t put a group in my tank, I don’t want to down on peoples research but that wouldn’t sit right with me

It’s a 7 gallon with dimensions of 40 long 26 wide and 25 high in cm

hmm. I would be nevouse to put more than one in as most places say that even though they do better in groups, those groups need larger tanks and to keep them in too small of a tank could lead to fighting and death in some cases.

I'm talking about C. travancoricus species I know there's a few, I thought that you cant keep more than one unless you have ten gallons at least that's what most of my research says. I've found multiple sources that say a pair in a 10 or a single in a 5 gallon.

What does everyone think about a single pea puffer in a 7 gallon planted tank? do you think it would work? thanks

I think I prefer Bagrichthys macracanthus and agamyxis pectinifrons would either work looking on planet catfish and doing reserch I think both these species are compatible

would it be ok if i run some catfish speices past people to double check compatability

I have decided to drop the banjo cats and will move them to a differnt tank i have planed, As far as a replacment I think a small group of Synodontis granulosus (cuckoo catfish) will be really nice I will probebly get a group of 5 as this is what planet catfish recomened

what about Synodontis granulosus I love the colouration

ok i get that im very quickly realising this tank may be much harder to stock than I origanlly though, maybe I drop bottom dwelling fish all togther as if banjo cats wont work im not sure of a good replacment

ive also found this video of banjos eating in the day

I also plan to try and hand train my bgk so this maybe will increase the chance that the banjos will find food

Yeah I get that point, I may still try them as I've had lots of fish that need target feeding so I have experiance there, if they don't work I can allways move them to another tank

Ill try to special order the angles when I'm next at my local fish shop, they tend to get rare fish in if people special order

Im looking now Im sure my local fish shop has had them in once before, if I can find them I will denfinalty add them to the as I love them

yeah that 5 was just a ruff esitmate but ill proberbly do a group closer to 10

will do will black PVC pipe work so its not as obviouse (as you may be able to tell this will be my main show tank so a big piece of white piping my through off the look)

does everyone think roman nose anglefish (pterophyllum leopoldi) would work well i think they are really intresting fish in a large group

as far as more species I was thinking a small group of roman nose angle fish, they have the unique look i was looking for in the fish for the tank but will add some day time movement

do you think a royal farlowella should be kept on its own, ill get a group of banjo cats but should i keep only one specimen of the royal farlowella

as far as aqua scape i was think about creating different zones to have large open swimming areas a heavily planted area and an area with plenty of hides and caves for the knife fish

As far as support for the tank, the tank will be on the bottom floor of my house (I'm from the UK so we call the bottom floor the ground floor sorry if that got lost in translation) the floor is concrete with a load bearing foundation, I think my cabinet will be built out of a steel frame clad...
