Camallanus worm still hanging on guppy after Levisamole treatment?

I Didn't have the chance to try them since we don't have any left, but lettuce and other vegetables help! I know peas can be a good laxative though, used it a long time ago on constipated fish. Anyway, the parasites are all gone and the fish in question just had 2 or more babies :)

    Tips on treating camallanus worms

Hello! It's the last day of treatment and this medication seems to work nicely. Here's a detailed guide to what to watch out for, for any future users of this. Expel- P tips: Use a lot of filter Floss on the filter intake when using this medication as it will produce a ton of biofilm and dead...

    Care for mystery snail

yeah, the reason I failed to raise these snails last time was because the fish would steal everything I tried to feed the snails and the tank was so big I cannot even find the snails half the time.

    Rabbit snails

now that I look at it again, It does look excactly like Faunus ater and not rabbit snails! The brownish coloring + the overall smooth shell (faunus ater still have small grooves). rabbit snails are more darker colored and have more of their body showing, and also have bumps with grooves where...

Monte Carlo Growing Up, not OUT

hi! I do both types of gardening and even full shade outdoors can beat full direct sun indoors. an example is tradescantia: they like light a lot, and will crawl towards it and seem etoliated indoors(maybe light is only from one direction/window) but they spread out naturally outdoors (even in...

Hello! I'm wondering what you guys use to keep your mystery snail shell looking healthy. I've no trouble keeping shrimp and nerites but these have been hard to keep.

Mudskippers would be nice, however I made this tank with plants that are freshwater, and they like brackish better :( I see, I'll consider and look around the tanks for any tricky spots if I plan to get them. I plan on getting Vampire Crabs for now, they seem pretty nice. If I can get ahold of...

After putting tons of fiber filter in, and water-changes, the terrarium water is much better, good enough to add a little trapdoor friend, and also a ramshorn but i am not sure where it ran off to.

Camallanus worm still hanging on guppy after Levisamole treatment?

yes, the worm does not seem to be red or even moving like before. I'll continue feeding good stuff, and repeat after a week. Does lettuce do any good to fish's digestive system as Fiber? will it help her pass the big worm?

Camallanus worm still hanging on guppy after Levisamole treatment?

Hello, I just treated with Expel-P because I noticed camallanus worms on my guppy. Wondering if it is normal for a worm to be still inside the guppy after 2 days of treatment?

    Paludarium Journal

I researched a bit and it seems half the dartfrog community thinks they can, and other half thinks not. I think they definitely won't drown but some of them maybe won't explore the water world too much. Same! dart frogs are really cool little guys. I think their enclosure might be a little...

Monte Carlo Growing Up, not OUT

I think 7 hours is too little, I have my daylight cycle light for almost 21 hours of varying light, only 3 hours of total darkness. (low tech tank) I've never kept monte carlo, but I've kept my fair share of high light plants. they seem to be etiolated, which means more light is necessary...

yes! That could be wonderful! I've never kept animals other than fish, shrimp, and snails so It will be a wild ride. We have some nice "reptile" stores here that might carry frogs. Another consideration for these tiny frogs would be drowning, but I'm not sure. It'd be fun watching their tadpoles...

    Tips on treating camallanus worms

Hi! I just finished using it, and it really nukes your tank quality after a day (cloudy + biofilm everywhere), but after a large water change, it's all back to normal. seems to have a bad effect on a few types of algae, like Staghorn and black beard algae. turned orange after treatment. maybe...

    Springtails/microfauna with fish - how

I have many springtails that just sit on top of the floater and nothing can get them (i think a few hundred maybe), I have a tank full of top hunters (big gouramis, guppies, etc) and they dont eat a lot of springtails. springtails are too fast and floating plants provide many hiding spaces.

    Tips on treating camallanus worms

I assume I got this not from the fish, but from some new snails and shrimp that I got. Apparently camallanus can survive a long time just hitchhiking a snail. I got nerite snails and bamboo shrimp which are basically all wild caught. @GaryE , I treated both the tanks with this, and both have...

yes, i think there was a little bit of both sides of misunderstanding, sorry for the confusion. Tips on treating camallanus worms

Thanks! I'll look into that. Fritz expel P seems to be similarly priced, but if I run out, I'll try that one. do you know if it is available in the US? Thanks, luckily I don't see any visible worms on any other fish except for one that I separated, so I hope they don't die.
