    Bulldog pleco - hiding

Not meand to proof you wrong. Most info tells they need vegs / are herbivores. I think most live on tiny creatures in between the algae / aufwuchs.

    Bulldog pleco - hiding

The Chaetostoma I had was 99,9 % carnivorious and never took a bite from vegs thrown in. Try something meatier. Also all these fish are wildcaught. If it was me caught from a river I wouldn't show up in a tank either.

    Which Corys Do You Have?

I thought cats do hahahaha Maybe that why they are all called catfish

Does anyone know what might cause the death of these fish? (oder river germany/poland)

Only thing is there is not any sign that climate change caused this. It is the 13th river of Europe so it isn't a closed system or what so ever. Poisoning is the most plausible but they still don't have any clue with what. Quite strange to me.

0 nitrates worry me. Wondering : You ask us a question and then seem to be hesitant to provide any information needed to give an answer. How do you expect us to do so ?

    What's your favourite Cory?

I simply can tell you one thing : Corys don't kill anything. They don't swarm, attack or kill fish, shrimp anything. They even aren't fysically able to do so. They have a very soft en sensitive mouth without any teeth.

    Problem with Neon Tetra?

Looks like the species specific strain of Columnaris (common name false Neon Tetra Disease). Clean water and a stressless environment could.solve the issue.

    Gourami mating?

Agree with Colin There is not 1% doubt that these are two males. If this lasts you might end up with one of them dead.

    New fish! Whoops, impulse buy...!

As long as there aren't eggs or you don't allow them to hatch there is nothing wrong. There is some discussion if the C.schultzei is a specific species or also a type of Aeneus. So in that perspective the LFS-guy is (also) correct.

    New fish! Whoops, impulse buy...!

Congrats on your new arrivals. The name Venezuelans is a worldwide incorrect name. In fact they have not any link with the country but are a manmade colorvariaty of C.schultzei which is closely related to C.aeneus and called C.schultzei "black". They'll crossbreed. Their dark color depends of...

Very Sick Cory - Red Blotch Disease?

Agree. I don't have scientific evidence but I have seen and often seeing issues with this substrate vs Corys. What puzzles me is that the Sterbai have beem on it for three years, without this issue. It defintely isn't Red Blotch

    Bloated Cory, help needed

30c won't wipe out germs. It can only wipe out Ich and some ones alike which this isn't. Worms could be though the general look isn't bad besides color and it doesn't.look overfed (what are you feeding). There is no pressure building up in the body. The eyes would bulge in that case. I expect...

    Is My Cory Ok?

Personally I'd bring it back. You're given a fosh with issues and they made their problem yours. Still be aware it might have introduced Ich to the tank.

Why are some species bold and other skittish ?

Agree, skittishness isn't species specific. Even fish that were laid back for quite some time, can get skittish suddenly. Funny thing is my albino sterbai seem to be more outgoing than my normal colored ones hahaha. I suspect lighting is one of the things that might change things sometimes. I...
