PomPom crab and Pandaka pygmea care?

Exactly what the title said. My older brother who is in college is coming home from one of the large cities here in the Philippines, so I decided to see what they sell there online, and holy moley, I saw that they were selling those little crabs and fell in love. I'm reading a lot of articles...

    Male or female plakat betta

Definitely a female, been breeding these fishes for a long time. Males would have a fuller, bigger and better-shaped body. Their tail should form a D shape too, that one also has a stomach that looks like a female you can see it in the body shape He's some pics of my females

Fish loosing color in the matter of hours!

Thanks for your response, my main concern with using meth.blue is potentially killing all bacteria including beneficial for the cycle. Anyways, all the fish seem better! Even the sick discus I left alone. I went out just now and same thing. Turns out I just overreacted. I just caught them...

Fish loosing color in the matter of hours!

Thanks for replying! I got it all sorted out. It was about 2 cups for the entire 66 gal tank, probably less. This morning I woke up to all the happy corries, neons, rummies, and better discus. But one of them is separating from the group, up in the water and panting. It's also fin clamped and...

Fish loosing color in the matter of hours!

I'm gonna do an emergency water change. All my equipment are locked up in the shop and I can't get them here. I'll have to go ahead with a trusty water bucket! Wish me luck. I really need to sleep and its like almost 11pm here but I'll manage

Fish loosing color in the matter of hours!

Our petshop had an ich outbreak killing over 80 rummynoses. Thankfully, in my care, the 20 rummies I had were cured relatively quickly, very good eaters despite having whitespot. The problem comes in when the Discus got the whitespot, they look okay, but they're getting thinner. I added salt and...

Yet another stocking change of plans...

For over crowding I plan to remove a few of them when they're older, or a larger tank or split them in 2 4fts

Yet another stocking change of plans...

Oh right, that would be fine for me, I could just move my 2 large angels to my 30gal tall and the congos back at the shop. Discus and cories are pretty much going to end up being the only fish. Unless there are other good tankmates for them or they're just not compatible at all
  15. Jacob the tank keeper

Yet another stocking change of plans...

Ohh haha thanks a lot, that means it should be fine right? To keep them forever? I think I might just grow out the discus and steal a spot in the petshop's 4 ft to make it a display tank for discus... just to split them, maybe sell them. I read somewhere that pros would get 10-12 wait till they...

Ohh, I didn't read much about them. Well, I'll forget about them.

Yet another stocking change of plans...

I've been reading a lot of articles... most say 55 gals for 6 should be okay, or 5-10 gals per discus. Would even 6 not fit?

Yet another stocking change of plans...

awe that sucks. These are my dream fish since day one so that is a big bummer. Could I just keep them temporarily until they're larger for the fun of it? Or until I get a even larger tank...

Yet another stocking change of plans...

Damn, from what I read online it said they only reached 5" large. Some types up to 8... how much can you fit in my tank?? none? it's ordered but that doesn't mean we couldn't just resell them. We own a petshoppe... I've been reading what people said in other forums and articles online but I'm...

Yet another stocking change of plans...

18" tall is not enough? I've kept corries in the lower 30s before, they're okay... We live in the tropical climate of Philippines, pretty sure they're used to the heat. They've been kept and bred here for generations. What would you have to say about the compatibility of fish? I'm also going...

Yet another stocking change of plans...

Yup, another change of plans, but can you blame me?! 48x18x18" tank. Currently 7 Angels - 2 full grown, 5 juveniles. Both adults are male. 22 Albino Congos - Semi Adults. I know it's overstocked, I was planning on removing the juvies and getting adult female angels and removing like half the...

🐶 POTM VOTE NOW - November 2023 Pet of the Month Contest

This is my Leopard Gecko named Pasha, She's 4 months old and I got her when she was at the tiny 2 month old stage. I got it as a birthday gift for myself as I've always wanted reptiles but never got to keep any, she's my first. I feed her superworms, 6 a day. Occasionally I would feed dubias...

I like those, they're the Rosy and the Bleeding hearts? Bleeding hearts are often clearer... Could it just be juvie colors? Someone's selling gold gouramis, but they're quite aggressive, no? What about 3-spots? considering that gold is just a color morph of that I'll assume they're both aggressive.

I think that might be it for Palmeris, they're sold to us as "Black Palmeri" and look the same as what you said. What fish would you recommend then? Fish like lemon tetras are a bit too bland. I was looking forward to something like neons or cardinals, colorful, but not glo tetras... I was...

    Riccia cultivation

I don't really have an expert opinion on this but judging from my personal experience, they do best floating, close to the light. The problem with them is that hair algae really likes to violate them. They grow like a pest floating

I'll try using a tape measure. I'm pretty sure these two are adults though. What are some common fish here? Are Black Palmeris part of this? I have flame tetras but I feel that they might be too small. 4 bristlenoses then? What do you mean about the issue? Is that regarding the cories? Or are...

Aren't my angels max sized? The marble one in the middle right and the striped one on the right. I've seen neons with angels and rummynoses are larger soo... That's where I got that thought from. If not rummynoses, then what? For the corries, sure, I could increase. What do you think about...

    Recommend me some schooling fish

Thanks everyone, we do own the shop lol so it wouldn't be a problem. I probably will get rid of my congos for something else, probably rummy noses, if I wanted I could get like 50 of those in this tank. I'm not dead set on cories, although I would totally love some, the bristlenoses are more...

Yea but right now I think I do have to say congos aren't that pretty, I have albino ones which are pretty much all white. I'm probably gonna end up with my angels, some rummynoses, and the bottom dwellers
  36. Jacob the tank keeper

    Recommend me some schooling fish

I might just get rid of the congos. I love them but I'm getting sick of people saying they're ugly, they always say they're ugly and glo tetras would be better. I hate glo tetras. I'm thinking of getting cardinals or other colorful tetras instead. I like congos, I really do, but people are...

More or less something like this, if it's too much I can remove some cories or less tetras... I don't really have to worry about the amount of fish I'd need for something like the corries that need to be in groups as I could just take any from the petshop

Oh and my friend is going to give me 6 albino bristlenoses as he's moving away (I would probably keep 4) If that matters. I will add it in the same tank. I'm also planning on some corydoras
