    Rams eating catfish pellets?

I'm feeding my clown kili a combination of decapsulated brine shrimp eggs and live bbs - though in truth they go after just about anything i put in the aquarium as they don't appear to be picky eaters despite their reputation. However the dario dario which are with them are a bit more picky so...

    Rams eating catfish pellets?

Our dog did in fact eat the cat food out of her bowl; we didn't realize if she could stretched to 5 ft to reach it on the counter; and boy did she love cat food. If she managed to get the closet open she ignored the dog food and went straight for the cat food.

    What are you doing today?

I'm crying - those chocolate cichild i've had for 6 months that folks said would take several years to mature spawned last night. On the bright side they aren't all that aggressive on the negative side i don't want little pieces of chocolate. - In other news my l. araguaiae have been raising...

    What are you doing today?

Cut and paste so no clue if accurate: --- (source: https://aquariumbreeder.com/panda-garra-detailed-guide-care-diet-and-breeding/ ) Panda Garra are easy to keep and care for but very hard to breed. The main problem is that they are seasonal breeders and require special conditions to initiate...

    What are you doing today?

I think the reasons i like fish keeping is in part it is a learning experience - not so long ago i thought blackwater was a mystic never achieved and these days I can breed most blackwater species - though a challenge i'm not up to is trying to simulate migratory environment for fishes like...

    What are you doing today?

Well these days a lot of cars need expensive thingy to plug in to get data or make changes. Obviously simple stuff like batteries and oil changes can be done yourself and my dad changed his own oil for 55 years but alas father time caught up. The problem with the mazada rx8 was parts. We did...

    What are you doing today?

My Dad had a mazda rx8 - i test drove it when looking for a new car after 20 years without a car and my dad fell in love with it (i hated the the thing); anyway he took it to the dealer-ship to get a new battery - but they put one in that was too small - so it failed on the way home when we...

    Too many frys :(

Yea - what will happen is i will reduce the amount of bbs feeding for new frys of some species so fewer will make it - once i manage to par down some of the older frys then will feed more bbs. One thing i'm finding is a lot of the lit on # of fishes you can keep seems to only be true for small...

    Too many frys :(

With the species i have the parents have been pretty good around the previous generation frys - the males certainly leave them alone. In the case of the wolli all the frys migrated to the 2nd non-brooding female who accepts them. For the winkelfleck - they just don't care and for the a. sp...

    Gary back in Africa again???

I think it is just the by product of a large city - you see this in a lot of large cities in Europe and USA. I remember when i was in italy for a week and a bit; while my siblings and parents slept till noon i would walk to one of the nearby towns (around 3 to 5 miles); and they were all pretty...

Do some fish ( gouramis ) get belligerent, as they age???

Many fishes get belligerent as they sexually mature and as they age in general. Just like the grumpy old man on the corner.
