    Hypseleotris compressa

Empire gudgeon (Hypseleotris compressa)... A very beautiful gudgeon. They look somewhat aggressive but they're actually quite friendly. They're in my community tank. It takes quite long before they color up intensively and show their real sex. So, if you;ll buy young fish, you should be very...

    Pregnant guppy or just ill?

Definitely a male. A tuxedo ivory guppy in this case. And yes, he's bend. There are multiple reasons why a guppy will develop a bend spine. Which is not a healthy situation for such a guppy. Depending on the cause of the bend spine, it can live longer or even shorter.

Is a heater always necessary for tropical fish?

One the biggest mistakes that people make is think that when we speak about tropical fish that it's neccesary to use a heater. Like Archerfish has already stated, it depends on the kind of fish we're talking about. The country of origin itself doesn't make afish tropical right away. It's the...

The dwarf molly (Poecilia chica) is a short finned.wild molly species from Mexico... The name "dwarf molly" is a bit confusing. The molly itself belongs to the mid sized wild molly species. But the name "dwarf molly" refers to the short dorsal. I'm keeping them together with my kallmani...

How to tell how old your fish is??? That's something quite hard to tell... There are more factors that you have to take in account. The conditions a fish is in may vary the stage of development for each individual fish. That may result in an incorrect estimate of the age. Unless you know when a...

And there was nothing wrong with them. If I look at the one that you call a shubinkin, I do have to say...
