Can guppies and swordtails survive in 'blackwater' ?

And some outdoor tubs, a lot of leaves are in there and it's full of tannins. If have them also near to Gh of 6°dH. And I'm talking about wild swordtail species...

    Just born baby koi

I've just corrected something. I wasn't aware that I wrote down mid 1978's. This should be mid 1980's. Yes, the one in the picture is at lest a week old. For they really start off as being needles. It only takes a couple of days after fertilizing that the larvae will be born. When a female...

    Cherry Shrimp and Guppies

I have shrimp living harmoniously with tuxedo red guppies for years. It's a general rule. For every kind of fish can be a potential shrimp killer. Mostly when the shrimp is getting a new scale. When shrimps are peeling, it takes about 24 hours to let the new scale harden. So, when the new scale...

    Just born baby koi

I've kept and bred koi ever since mid 1980's up till 2005. When a koi is born, it will be at larvae stage and looks like a needle. If you see the head that clear as the one in your picture, it must be already older. Newborn fry till an age of 1,5-2 weeks will still shelter before swimming...

    What are you doing today?

Opened up a package today. I've ordered a small sculpture of a koi on a stand. When I opened up the package, I only got the stand and not the fish. The bag in the package was torn. The package itself was sealed perfectly. I've tried to contact the online shop but no reply yet.
