    Swordtail?

Except of the fact that she a he... Swordtail fish themselves are not named after the swords that males have. The name "swordtail fish" refers to the gonopodium of a male swordtail fish. Swords in guppies are named after the swords (elongated outer caudal fin rays). Roundtails are still an...

Gold fish pregnant or signs of swim bladder?

To me, she looks like she's full with eggs. This is how they looked at my place when they were carrying eggs. The black spots could be nothing. Be aware of it that goldfish can color up differently than expected. But it could also be a sign of melanoma that is developing. In that case, you...

    Fish eye color...

In general, fish that live closer to the surface or those that live in more bright water, have black eyes. The melanin in their eyes protects their eyes against the light. Those that live in deeper water, black water or those that live between roots in lagoons, can already have lighter colored...

    Fancy Guppies vs. Betta. Help!

I would plea for a video to see how both species interact before making an estimation of what could be wrong. The combination of a betta and guppies can work if there are sufficient hiding spots for the betta and if the tank is big enough (200 liters should be enough for sure). But you'll never...
