Well the title pretty much says it all. i have a tank of endlers, mostly juveniles. Im looking to add a little something more to the tank. What would be good tank mates that wont eat all the fry if fry are produced and will add some color to the tank. It is a 20 gal high tank.

    Its not that bad on the rocks right now because i flipped the rock over in the last water change.  

I do weekly 20% water changes and do vacuum the substrate. The algae on the walls, yes. But as mentioned it is a cichlid tank so i have about 10 tufa rocks, when it attaches to that i cant scrub it off. ive never had red algae before so this is kind of new to me.

I have a fluval spec III, that is light-moderately planted. It currently has two tiger endlers in it, and a nitrile snail. I was wanting to put some shrimp in it but im not sure how many. I was think maybe pearl blue shrimp. Any ideas on how many would be ideal?

Yea i can see how it is dangerous. I like watching it just to see the different verities of saltwater fish. Im only freshwater so it gives me a glimpse into the other side.
