mabie your fishy just likes to come out at night. when the others are asleep. if he is still alive and you say hes been in hiding for a month now then he is surely eating. so just watch and see. watch your other fish closly just incase he is sick

the whole purpose for the bio-wheel is to build bacteria. if you take it out you will be defeating the purpose and loose what bactera you have ganed. never take it out or change it even if it looks kinda nasty. that's what you want. the more the better when it comes to bacteria on the biowheel...

i think salt is best but much more costly.i have a 55gl and live rocks alone cost 7-15 dollors a pound (wet). you will need at least 1lb per gal of water. plus salt i pay 24.00 for a 50gl bag :S . but you will love it when it is done. it is worth all the money i promise.if you do saltwater go...

actually the background is just a plane blue but i accidently got it wet when we moved into our new house and the brite blue is where the background stuck to the tank and the dark blue is where it is still loose. i could fix it if i wanted to but i like it that way. and the fish think they can...

all i can say i WOW :blink: and not fair lol. i love your tank i think it is awesome for a fresh water tank. altho i prefer salt. i had a 250gl once with a nurse shark i loved it so!!!!!!!! altho i couldnt put any thing elece in the tank because she would eat it lol . great conversation...

i think my fish like the background they think they can hide in the dark spots. and some times you can see them trying to go into them it kinda funny to watch.

i have a feather duster in my salt tank the lfs told me they get there food from nutrients in the water. so you dont have to actually feed them. just dont scare them or they will loose there feathers. i know from experence. i thought he was dead but they grew back in about 2 weeks

i use a cannon A40 digital camera with 2.0 mega pix. i turn of the flash so there is no glare

i live in west virginia. not looking to make a killing just want to do something that i have some interest in. It would be nice to look forward to going to work every day. an thinking of going to work in my lfs for a while to get some inside info. altho it is 45 min away it will be an enjoyable...
