    I agree with your view on not using shops that stock dyed fish. If enough of us stop using these shops they will get the message with any luck. As for the Guppies Livebearers etc most of these are just colour morphs which are ok IMO as they are not crossed with a different species. ;)

    The lfs sells it as "honey sand" but the hire shop just up the road sells the exact same stuff (same packaging and all) at a third of the price, its shot blasting sand!!!! but its mustard yellow in colour. I just wash it well and dump it in lol :laugh:

    You could also try Apisto's or shell dwellers as these usually remain small and most are relatively peaceful :D Just remember that if you get shell dwellers you will have to supply shells for them (to dwell in lol) :P There are some absolutely stunning small Cichlids available so my advice...
