Is it normal for bettas to get loose scales? It is loose by his eye. He don't look like he's gained any weight and the only things in his tank are 2 live amazon swords a plastic amazon sword an anabus(?) And his rock decoration plus a no fishing sign. Oh and Stripes his Zebra Snail roommate.

So far no more dead fish in the tank but now I'm wondering if after I get my Anti-protozoan flakes I should go ahead and treat the survivors for parasites.

The carbon is out.  That was the first thing I did when I got home.  I just hope it fixes the problem.

The two in the 20 gallon where uprooted this morning when I got up but the 10 gallon ones are still where they were put.  I put them back in and I'm sure it's going to take a while to get them to stay put.  But I will get there.

Thanks everyone.  I put it in yesterday after I did some changes in the tank and added a larger piece of wood to it.  I placed it somewhat under my smaller pice hping that it will anchor it down better then the gravel that is in my other tank.
