I'm planning on adding some new fish to my tank and though why not add a beta! Heres my dilemma; I have one gourami one african chiclid and two hatchet fish in a 20 gal. tank is it safe for the beta or the other fish?

I went on holiday this past weekend and popped in some weekend feeders, when I can home I found three of my fish dead (kind of expecting it). So now my tank reeks of death! Is there any way to get rid of this smell any faster than a water change or filter replacement?

ok well some good news i have heated my tank up to 86* F and started the treatment about 5 hours ago and the fish are returning to their normal selfs, except for the black mollie who had it really bad he is still at the bottom of the tank gasping for air (I dont think he will make it). but over...

i just bought the med this morning but i woke up to find one of my proper guppies dead and one of my black mollies fighting for his life. the med says to wait 48 hours but i dont know if this little guy has that long :-(
