I got my new tank today! :D Got ma tank, its 32" x 18" x 18". 6mm glass with a 10mm glass base. Also has got brace support bars at the top. I painted the back black earlier, going to set it up tommorow. I'm quite excited! :fun:

I would agree chrissaysyes. No point just getting something at random. You should check your params and get the one that you require (the most)! Because it would be pointless myself or others to tell you to get one thing when in fact your tank could do with another. I hope you get my drift! ;)

With your tank being a 14.5 imp gallons its volume would be approx 66litres. The hydor koralia nano 900lph would turn the whole volume over about 14times per hour whereas the 1500lph would turn the water over appx 23times per hour. So IMO I would go for the 900lhp one especially as you do not...

Imo you should get the lighting, and let it run for a few days taking note of how much it effects your temp, if there isn't too big a difference then go for some fans as you should be able to get them quite cheap. If the fans do not work then I would recommending in investing in a chiller unit! ;)

Hi there whats the best way to get rid of aiptasia manually? I know peppermint shrimps are supposed to eat it but what else could I do that is full proof? As i have just noticed one on the end of a polyp colony and know they can attack corals... would This product work? what about this one...

No aint got a sump. The 170litre tank is mine and I am using a HOB refugium on it and was wondering if a protein skimmer would be worth getting? The 300litre tank is my mates and currently he is only using live rock as bio filteration and was hoping to get a skimmer?
