I have 5, 1 week old albino corydora fry in a tank, and in another have maybes 6 or so guppy fry, and also 1 platy fry. (Guppy and platy fry probably a week or so if that too) Will I be ok to put all the fry into a hatching box in one of the tanks together? More so for feeding Etc.

Its probably borderline, the general rule is 1" per gallon for fish so really your slightly overstocked…. :)

What about feeding them? When do i start feeding them that liquid food? Seen somewhere shouldn't give them that on first few days?

Cool think ill invest in one of these for the next time, hopefully they will breed again! :)

They will breed anywhere they're like rabbits! Although if the fry survive (probably get eaten) your tank will become overstocked very quickly...

Yeh the eggs were a total shock! Im buzzing I just hope I can save 1 or 2, the cats were my favourite fish in the other tank was planning on buying more so this works out pretty cool! :) I had to take the airstone out as think it was creating too much motion in the water and the fighter didn't...

Update -  realised that the hatching boxes grooves to let water in were just big enough for the fry to escape, so have come up with this, 2 litre bottle cut and then stabbed a few small holes in and placed the remaining eggs in. Since doing so a couple have hatched and are swimming about. Ive...

Just recently purchased a new 55l tank so i could house a male fighter and transfer 3 cordoras into it as tank mates.   Within a day i found loads of eggs on the side of the tank scattered all over. Decided id have a go at trying to raise some fry so went and bought a little floating hatchery...

Do they exist? Bought a shoal of harlequin rasboras today and the man put 2 "East European harlequins" in first by accident, I corrected him saying I wanted the others n said I could have them for free... So said yes as they were pretty looking fish... Problem is can't find anything about them...

I was aware that wood can discolour the water into a brown colour, problem is I couldn't leave it in a bucket as the wood was too big to fit In, and was a great inconvenience to leave in bath for a few weeks... Eventually does the wood stop turning the water brown after time and water changes...

At what age can I take some of the fry out the tank and take to a LFS to sell? Guppies are breeding like rabbits at the moment and with this new tank they have a hidey hole in the first section of the built in filter system!!

Fingers crossed it does! Have to go back to LFS this weekend if it does, came downstairs to a cardinal tetra lying on the floor somehow managed to jump out the tank!!

Just tested the water there and no ammonia or nitrites there so so far so good… I've also rammed the old media into the new tanks sponge, see how it goes!

Ok I will put that old filter media into the new one… will it make a difference which one of the two sponges i replace or will it not make a difference? Need to watch a video on cleaning the filters out etc as the manual does not show much… the first sponge has got bit of waste in it now after a...

That's the problem I had, the old tank lights kept breaking down so replaced it with this new tank. I have kept the filter from the old tank until the new setup was running sweet... So unfortunately I can't go for the fish less cycle :( Is my best bet maybes just to take out the entire filter...

Yeh the "evaporated water" was in the manual! thought it was odd, just thought it was a term used...   Technically the tank isn't cycled but is… i put my old filter from my old tank in as a 2nd filter to help it along for a month or so until the built in one is ready.

Just upgraded tank due to the other ones light breaking all the time sop upgraded to the aqua nano 130. The old tank was just a cheap thing to get me into it with a simple filter that slotted in the tank.  This new one has a built in filter that runs along the back,separated into about 5...

So would not be recommended to mix 3 albino Cory's and 3 panda Cory's? What are the benefits of having them In proper numbers? Newbie question really sorry haha

Might sound a stupid question but when you say need the cories in groups of 6+, would I be able to get 3 differmt cories? (Got 3 albinos at the moment, would I be able to get 3 emerald ones to make the numbers up or does that not count?)

Don't worry I'd rather the truth... I have a friend who would have it anyways... What size will they get too?? So with that in mind that I won't keep him, have the right number of tetras, have 1 short on the danios, and have a few less cories then I should....there must be a fish I can get for...
