What Type Of Fish Is This?

It is a hillstreem and I have kept one for a little while, I have heard that they like cooler water with a strong current flow...mine has been fine in my 77 degree comunity tank, he hides sometimes but seems to be fine otherwise. I do have pretty heavy flow in my tank though...

The Lowest Point Of My 5 Year Fishkeeping Hobby

Glad I went with the AC 70 when I upgraded for my 36 gallon. It's a simple hang off the back filter but it kicks but and i never have these issues...says its good up to 70 gallons also so I should be able to use it for the 55 gallon I have my eye on as well. Fish-in Cycling

I didnt because it was a different style filter, i bought the Aqua Clear 70 and replaced the silly kit pump and filter so the existing filter would not have fit...i only lost 8 days so I am not to worried, I was hoping some of the bacteria would have started to build in the substrate but oh well.

    Hillstream Loach

I am new to fishkeeping and was sold a hillstream loach by the guy at the lfs, I told him I have a tropical comunity tank and he said "they will be just fine in there". Adding A Sponge To An Existing Charcoal Filtration System

Perfect, I am glad to hear I made a wise choice on the new filter/pump setup and I will switch the carbon out when I make my next trip to the store. Now I have heard both ways...2 bio bags or 2 sponges, which is better? That would be great if I could post pics of my Mollies, I have 4 of them...

Adding A Sponge To An Existing Charcoal Filtration System

I just bit the bullet and bought the Aqua Clear 70 so I did not have to worry anymore. It says its good for 40-70 gallon tanks and mine is only 36 but I figured overkill is better than not enough filtration.

Adding A Sponge To An Existing Charcoal Filtration System
