Hi all, My canary wrass (Cecil Bananahead) sleeps in the substrate and slithers out in the morning. Then he zooms around the tank all day being colourful and friendly and then it is early to bed (like my firefish - perhaps they like each other!), ready for tomorrow's zooming. A delight but...

Thanks for all the advice. He seems pretty stationary but has eaten a whole prawn and keeps going with the seaweed whenever I offer it. Seems my rock is safe for now. No more spines dropped. Great!

Update! The canary wrass is to be recommended! A similar shade of colour to a yellow tang it zooms up and down like a mad thing. Have you seen those little slinky toys that look like caterpillars (not slinkies). They are pulled by an "invisible" string and can be worked through the fingers...

Yes - they are meant to be slightly more peaceable aren't they? I wonder if my dull browny-black damsel might be one though that has lost colouration over time - the tail is slightly yellowish. Cheers guys, G.
