Is there any old timer here who remembers ever having seen an inside filter that hung from the aquarium rim and worked with a combination of a siphon and outlet and air ? You had to prime the thing to get it going which was very difficult and if the water level fell or the floss got too gunky it...

I should have been whipped like a red headed step child when I tricked my little brother into putting a knife into an electrical outlet . The sparks and the shock were scary . We went back to playing with matches after that .

Only one time in 59 years of aquarium and fish keeping have I ever seen a fish get sucked into a filter and it lived because it stayed in the intake tube . I remember seeing it swimming downward quite vigorously trying to escape .

I have a very strong opinion that’s what’s wrong with people is diet related and very probably the same is true of all the animal kingdom . Processed, chemically preserved food . That and the chemical soup and fog that we live in .

I dunno . . . . stranger things have happened . You wouldn’t think it would work but I’ve seen many of these multi species aquariums be successful over the years . Judging by the looks of the fish I think this will be one of them .

These locally owned Mom and Pop aquarium and fish stores are dropping like flies in the USA . They can’t run with the corporate outfits and people shop for price and convenience . It’s only us diehards that frequent the LFS and they can’t make it on three or four loyal customers .

Awesome ! What a beautiful aquarium and really nice fish . All the fish are so alert and healthy and lively .

Anything Amano just blows me away . The pros really put some thought and planning into the stuff they do . Tropical Fish Hobbyist magazine has an Amano layout featured almost every month and I couldn’t pick a favorite to save my life . They’re all beautiful .
